A comfortable king size bed aswell as a cosy log burner and plentiful supply of logs wood will have you looking for an excuse to light it!
A decorative spiral staircase takes you up to a dressing area aswell as a romantic roll tap bath (please note this is not a wet room ) with an over the bath water spray (No shower). Towels and bath mat are provided.
The Dressing area has a small sofa .
Please note the spiral staircase is not suitable for toddling children or for persons with restricted mobility and overlooks downstairs area.
Outside there is seating for two or more on the flagstone balcony with breath taking views of the river, waterfall and surounding areas. There is private access to the river and in November watch out for leaping salmon making their way upstream.
The property has it's own wifi connection.
LLlangynidr is a beautiful part of the world, perfectly situated for a relaxing break with lots of local attractions, from walks in beautiful scenary to all kinds of leisure and fun. Whether you want to find a quiet spot, ramble, mountain or gorge walk, cycle, or run.

This was a wonderful stay. The apartment is very comfortable and the riverside terrace was bliss. jacqui was helpful and informative and I wish we had more time there.

A return visit is a must!!
Within minutes of arriving I knew that I would return to this accommodation again. The attention to detail was fantastic & the added extras were a very welcomed bonus.
I felt very much at home in the cabin; the bed was extremely comfortable, the bath was fabulous and having a TV with Netflix was a great bonus. The log burner would’ve been the icing on the cake if I would’ve felt the need to use it.
The location was superb for a peaceful & relaxing retreat with plenty of options to fill the day. As a solo traveller I felt extremely safe, not only in the cabin but with the surroundings too.
I was really pleased to meet Jacqui on my second day, who was very attentive before, during & after my stay. As well as this, Jacqui’s help & guidance that she provided me with for a personal matter was very much welcomed & appreciated.
I cannot wait to return to the cabin in the not too distant future, and continue to use it for my Welsh retreat by the river x

Beautiful charming delightful stay!
What a wonderful place to relax in the midst of traveling! The view was so serene with the water and beautiful surroundings. The place was charming and comfortable and our host went out of her way to supply us with many amenities to help us feel comfortable. It was a perfect place to discover the beauty of the Welsh countryside!

Splendid space on the river
Wonderful peaceful place right on the river with outside view of waterfall. We ate on the lovely balcony/patio outside as many days as the weather would permit. You can even climb down into the river too. Just glorious. Cannot beat this experience. Second visit to the two spaces the owners rent there. Owners are super. Very attentive if you need anything. This detached apartment is a delightful large studio type with upstairs bathroom. Spiral staircase might be an issue for some. Bed large and very comfortable. Good linens and towels. Space well kept with a shabby chic design. One thing is that there is only a microwave so we brought our own two-ring portable cooktop since we like to cook a few times during the week or have a hot brekky. On that note, owners provide lots of breakfast bits which is such a gift. We love that you can walk into a small village and along the canal and river without driving. And there are many wonderful waterfall walks within a short driving distance too. All in all, we love this place and the owners a fab. Don't hesitate to book this. A splendid place.

We had three wonderful nights in this cosy B&B, next to the river, we even saw something which looked like a mink, chasing along the riverbed.
Nicely furnished, clean, very helpful Jacqui.

Romance on the river
Jacqui’s place is simply spectacular. My wife and I stay three nights at her wonderful cottage and we could not have asked for a better, more tranquil escape. The running water of the river lulls you to sleep at night and her beautiful patio allows you to really unwind during the day. Jacqui’s cottage was in the perfect location for us to use a base to explore the Brecon Beacons, with most destination being 20-30min drive in any given direction. Not to mention the cottage is really close to the lovely Vaughan Walk and Talybont-on-Usk reservoir. The bed was comfortable which was perfect for these two weary Americans at the end of days out exploring. It is also worth mentioning that Jacqui is among the most helpful and friendly hosts I have ever engaged with on Airbnb. She greeted us shortly after we arrived and we were met with a warmth and hospitality that made us feel like her guests as opposed to tourists renting her cottage. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind for a relaxing weekend or looking for spot to explore the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. The only thing I would keep in mind that the spiral staircases are narrow, so if you have are unable to navigate or have anything preventing your mobility.

Great place to stay
Great host, beautiful location. Property was as described and how it looked in photos. Jacqui was very helpful and provided lots of information about local walks and nearby towns. Will definitely be staying here again. Many thanks from David and Nicola

Beautiful place!
Had an absolutely brilliant stay here - stunning idealistic location, you could hear the river the whole time which added to the sense of relaxation and privacy and there was a secluded outdoor area that was really lovely to sit at that got the sun from the afternoon and we watched buzzards and red kites during the day and bats from at night. The apartment itself couldn’t have been been better and was not only gorgeous inside but spotlessly clean - one of the best places I’ve stayed at! Jacqui was extremely friendly and kind and gave us lots of useful information/recommendations and was really good at keeping in touch in case we needed anything. Can’t recommend this place enough, it really is beautiful and would definitely go back.

High quanlity and relaxing welcome in the Brecon’s
We spent 3 lovely nights in Jacki’s accommodation.
It is a lovely setting next a bubbling river.
House is decorated with a lot of style, everything is functional.
Jacki is the most welcoming host you could hope, giving tailored advice according to what you’re looking for from your stay.
We warmly recommend Jacki’s accommodate if you’re looking for acquired restoring break.

Lovely hideaway
This was our second visit. It’s a special place in a gorgeous setting. Jacqui is so welcoming and accommodating. The place is very cosy and romantic. Convenient to mountain walks and the brecon canal. Ideal for walkers or cyclists. We’re already looking for a date for our next visit to this romantic place.

Llangynidr is a small village on the picturesque River Usk, about four miles from Crickhowell and nine miles from Brecon. As well as the Usk, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal flows through the village, making it a haven for both wildlife and wildlife lovers alike.
On one side, the village is accessed via one of the best examples of an early road bridge in Wales. Arching over the River Usk, the stone bridge dates back to 1700 and is a Grade 1 listed structure.
Getting around
Bus es pass by the accomodation bus no x43 route or past the village throughBwlch which is just a short walk down into the village of LLangynidr bus no43 . There are walks from the front door off the beaten track, canal tow path and mountain walks :-)
