Farmhouse is lovely very warm and cosy in the evenings, excellent spot for exploring the local area, My Nephew enjoyed playing with the farm dog Laddie who is very good at football! Brigid was very welcoming on arrival and leaving, wish we had more time to spend here. Some places I recommend are Kells Priory, Kilkenny Castle and there is even a memorial to the guy who designed The White House as he came from around there.

Very clean spacious accommodation near to kilkenny. Brigid was a great host. Wish we had more time as 3 nights was too short.

Enjoyed a 4 night stay over Easter. The farmhouse was clean and cosy and the owners made us feel very welcome. We were able to bring our dogs which was an added bonus and they had plenty of secure space to run around. Our daughter was able to have a walk around the working dairy farm and see some of the newly born calves which was amazing. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Thank you to Brigid and Dan for making our party of 7 feel at home.Everything that we needed for our stay was available to us.we even offered to bring all the washing downstairs to the machine but we were told to leave it where it was,we were on holiday! We would to satay again.Thank you Brigid.

My husband and I came to Ballykeeffe Farmhouse with our 5month old daughter for a week at the end of Feb 2022 and we were thrilled. The farmhouse is stunning, with beautiful period fixtures and furniture mixed in with all the essential modcons that you could need plus some hidden extra luxuries like a full size pool table! We had family out to the Farmhouse and cooked meals plus we spent some quiet nights in front of the roaring fire watching the TV. We hope to be back to stay again soon 5️⃣⭐️

Booked this for 1 week for 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 children (1 being a newborn baby). The home was clean and tidy which is very important to me. When we arrived there were fresh scones, jam and butter as well as a lit fire and decorated Christmas tree. Brigid came down to meet us and was a lovely friendly lady. She managed to get us a baby bouncer and travel cot which made life much easier with a newborn! The fire was lovely and toasty downstairs, upstairs was a bit cold but there were lovely warm quilts and extra blankets if needed. Plenty of fresh clean towels too which is always helpful and no shortage of bathrooms! The kitchen had everything you would need and we were also able to wash and dry clothes. The property is a short drive away from Kilkenny town centre where there is a dunnes store and all the shops, bars and restaurants you could need. The courtyard was great for the children to play, with a basketball hoop and ball and next to a working farm. There was also a DVD player for those cosy chilled nights in. There were helpful numbers such as taxi, doctor, Garda etc left out for us too. I will most definitely stay here again and look forward to coming back. We were warmly welcomed by dan and brigid on arrival. The house is comfortable, bright and warm, well equipped, clean and well located. We were delighted to be able to bring our pets. Laddie, the dog, came to visit often. Everything was special and endearing. It's a perfect house for a country, farm experience, with lovely kind people. The garden and yard around the house are charming, with geraniums and roses, all the traditional planting. It's quiet and peaceful, a calm and safe idyll in the kilkenny countryside, conveniently located less than 20 minutes from the medieval mile of kilkenny city. Thank you Dan and Brigid. Myself and my husband book a week in this beautiful farmhouse.It was very spacious and well equipped.We had 2 fantastic hosts brigid and Dan and 2 great dog’s laddie and ham who use to greet us everyday.Brigid also sent us up homemade scones and jam which were absolutely delicious.We’re already planning a return visit.I’d highly recommend this farmhouse and would like to thank brigid and Dan for there great hospitality.see you soon from Lisa and joe
