*Hale Wa'a is our Guest House which is set apart from the main house duplex style. The home's decor reflects the ocean and paddling culture of the Hawaiian Islands and most of the art was done by the host, while the large oil was done by local artist Mark Brown. A nod is given to the pineapple, a symbol of welcome and hospitality both in the southern United States as well as Hawaii. The home is two stories with the master bedroom and second bedroom upstairs. The master bath has a full jacuzzi tub and separate shower. A lanai with seating and exterior lights looks out onto Maunaloa Bay and Koko Head to the left. The bedrooms are air conditioned and very quiet. Downstairs is a huge second bathroom with a full shower. This condo is located in a quiet private neighborhood. It was nice to stay outside of Waikiki. The condo had all the amenities of a home. I would have rated excellent, but air conditioning in the downstairs area had not been fully installed at the...More

Thank you for staying with us Bill! The air conditioning was not actually advertised and was just an appliance we are planning to install soon in case there was any confusion about that.

About the neighborhood
Whether you decide to rent a car or use public transportation, our central location makes it easy to get around to the hottest spots in Honolulu. **The main roadway in Oahu, as well as the bus stop, are a short 2 minute walk from our house as is a beach. The Kahala Mall is minutes from the house with Whole Foods and Starbucks. In both directions are grocery stores and drug stores, movie theaters, shopping, anything you can ask for. All are not more than a 5-10 minute drive or bus ride. *Waikiki - 15 minute Drive, 25 minute Bus Ride *Ala Moana - 15 minute Drive, 35 minute Bus Ride *Diamond Head Hike - 10 minute Drive, 22 minute Bus Ride *Kahala Shopping Center - 5 minute Drive, 7 minute Bus Ride *Hanauma Bay - 15 minute Drive, 25 minute Bus
Getting around
There is a Bus stop 2 minutes walking from our house. Uber and Taxis are also very accessible due to our close proximity to Waikiki and Downtown Honolulu. Onsite parking space is available exclusively for our guests and on street parking is plentiful.

**Private parking** Park in the driveway and walk up to your front door in the quiet enclave of Waialae Iki. The Guest House is separate from our main home and offers complete privacy. There is a security screen door as well as a main door which offers complete security and privacy for our guests. We do have set check in and out times but due to the nature of international and domestic arrivals we can almost always be flexible with check in and out with no added charge.
