Dane's Stone View is situated in the picturesque preservation village of Moulin which sits at the base of Ben Vrackie (a mountain just under 3000 feet high). The parish of Moulin and Pitlochry evolved around 1745. Most of the activity is based around the 'village square' with a large Copper Beach Tree planted at the centre to commemorate Queen Elizabeth 11 coronation. The Moulin Inn now has its' own micro brewery and lovely log fires, which are very welcome on a winter's night. Dane's Stone View is a light and airy bungalow and as the name suggests overlooks Dane's Stone ( a standing stone). It is in a very quiet location, yet within approx 20 minutes walk (2 mins in the car) of the shops, local services, restaurants and amenities of the town of Pitlochry. It sleeps four people in spacious comfort, has a front and back garden, plus covered parking areaMore

About the neighborhood
From the centre of Pitlochry, turn uphill into West Moulin Road just beside Davidsons the chemist. You will see the local Co-op to your right. Carry on up the hill, past a playpark on your left until you reach the Moulin Inn, very easily visible on your left. Take a left directly after the Moulin Inn, follow the road over a small bridge, keep following the road around a bend to your left and Duff Avenue is the first left. Number 4 is the second bungalow on the left hand side
Getting around
If you do not intend to bring a car to Pitlochry, one can be hired locally, but please book in advance. Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh can all be accessed easily by train from Pitlochry station. Local busses run from the main road in Pitlochry. All of the above are within walking distance of the Dane's Stone View.
