Beech Tree is a two storey cottage at the end of the courtyard. This house has oil-fired central heating and an open log fire (we do supply logs, but not kindling). The ground floor has a sitting room with a log fire, two four seater sofas, one reclining chair, a dining table, TV with freeview and a door leading to the shared back lawn where the children can play on the trampoline, swing and climbing frame. There is also a utility room off the living room containing a toilet and the washing machine. Patio furniture is supplied from spring to autumn. On the ground floor there is also the kitchen well supplied with pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cups. etc. It also has an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. On the ground floor there is also the kitchen well supplied with pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cups. etc. It also has an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Next door is the ground floor double bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet. A stone staircase leads up the second floor, to your right up another few stairs is a cabin bed, narrower than a normal sized single bed, this will fit a small adult. To the right there is a twin bedroom containing two standard single beds, next door is a bathroom with a bath and sink, in the cupboard here you will find the towels. Opposite the bedroom is the family shower room containing a sink, large walk in shower and toilet. And the last room is another twin room containing two single beds and a hand basin, it also has an occasional bed if required, the bedding for this if you have not requested it is in the blue bedding box at the other side of the room. Electricity is included in the cost and the wi-fi is also supplied free of charge, we are rural though and cannot guarantee a strong signal if there are a lot of guests using it at the same time. Pets are also welcome at Fingask, just let us know they are coming. Please ensure you clean up after your pet and keep them off the sofa's and beds. We have a cot, high chairs and stir gates available if required, please let us know prior to your arrival as depending on what time you arrive there may be no-one in the office. We don't have check in here, so follow the directions and enjoy your stay. Sam is in the office Monday to Friday 8.30 am until 4 pm, 5 pm Monday and Friday if you need anything, there is also a handbook on the coffee table in the living room telling you how the heating etc works. You may park your car outside the cottage, please be considerate to the other guests staying and park sensibly. In all the cottages bedding and towels are supplied along with, kitchen towel, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags and hand soap. There are also irons and ironing boards in all of the cottages, but NO hairdryers! No food or drinks are supplied, so please bring the basics with you, alternatively both Asda and Tesco deliver here, so you could get shopping delivered. Please make sure that you state the name of the house you are staying in and ensure that you make the time of delivery for after you have arrived. (the office is not able to sign for food deliveries). The pool is open from Easter until first frost (usually October), any guest caught using the pool cover as a diving aid will be asked to leave immediately. The motor is expensive to repair and we have had two broken in 2019. The games room is up the stairs and turn left, at the end of the building there is a door, they key is under the stone if its not in the lock, please ensure that under 12's are NOT left unsupervised! There are seven Fingask Castle Cottages, ranging from Sir Stuart's House sleeping up to fourteen to the romantic hideaway, with sauna and rowing boat, known as The Boathouse. Fingask Cottages are set in over 100 acre’s of the historic gardens and woods of Fingask Castle, enjoying southerly views to the Firth of Tay and the hills of Fife beyond. The half mile long drive curves up through the wooded glen and crosses Fingask stream on a high arched stone bridge overlooking St Peter’s Well in the dell below. Fingask is truly a magical place! You are welcome to roam the estate, there is a map provided in the cottage, but please respect the owners privacy and avoid the area immediately around the castle. The Pavilion is also to be avoided please if there is an event happening during your stay. More
