Cannot fault Duffus Estate Holiday Cottage at all.
We stayed in the Lodge it was spacious well equipped and good enclosed garden for our 3 Belgian Shepherds. Fab location for visiting surrounding towns Elgin/Lossiemouth and Nairn and loads of beaches.
Caroline and Ed left a breakfast pack of rolls, oatcakes, milk, jam just to get started.
I would highly recommend if you are looking for the perfect retreat

Cosy lodge
The lodge is in an ideal location as we were visiting relatives who live in Elgin. It was very warm and cosy, the welcome pack of rolls, jam, oatcakes, biscuits, milk and eggs was appreciated. The lodge had everything we could have possibly needed. We would definitely stay again, perhaps in the summer months next time.

A delightful little lodge, equipped to a very high standard, with many lovely little extras.
Great location for touring the Moray Coastal route. The lodge and grounds have been very thoughtfully set up to meet the needs of traveller and dog. I particularly appreciated enclosed garden, woodland walks and path to village, wood burner, standard of decor, cleanliness.

Gorgeous pet friendly lodge in beautiful location.
Beautiful lodge set within the Duffus Estate with the added benefit of an enclosed garden which our two dogs loved. We enjoyed the log burner for cosy evenings.
The lodge was well equipped with everything we could possible need. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Loved the Duvet!
The welcome pack on arrival of milk, shortbread, jam, rolls and fresh free range eggs were much appreciated. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Perfect dog friendly cottage
Spent four nights here and wished it had been much longer. The welcome pack with milk, shortbread, rolls, jam and eggs was exceptional ..definitely one of the best we've had. Cottage was very well equipped ... log fire especially nice on the one stormy night we had. The walks from the doorstep through the estate woods and to the village shop and pub were very convenient ..especially for our ageing terrier. Further afield there is such a variety of scenery to explore ...Lossiemouth beach, Covesea Lighthouse, Elgin and Forest walks to mention a few. Cottage a great base for this area.

Warm and cosy
We had a lovely time at the Lodge. The weather was pretty poor while we were there, so we didn't get to enjoy the walks the area offered, but the Lodge was warm and cosy, and sitting by the fire was a pleasant way to pass the time. Check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the Lodge was well equiped, so we could prepare meals. Also enjoyed lunch down the road at the Duffus Inn.

Set in the heart of Morayshire, the area has the best of both worlds. Within minutes of many glorious sandy and quiet beaches such as Covesea and Roseisle or just a short drive from the Cairgorms with their rugged mountains, glens and rivers. There is a plethora of historic sites to visit including the nearby St Peters Kirk and Duffus Castle as well as Brodie Castle, the famous Fort George and Spynie Palace to name a few. Feeling active - then there are numerous golf courses suitable for all abilities, the Elgin leisure centre with swimming pool and ice rink, sailing in Findhorn or fishing on the Spey. Feeling indulgent - then head to the hills and taste some magical Speyside malt Whisky at some of the worlds finest distilleries such as Glenlivet and Glenfiddich or relax at the Boath House Aveda spa. For shopping there is Johnstons Woollen Mill famed for its cashmere, Baxters famed for its...tinned soup, Brodie Country Fayre with its extensive clothes, food and gift halls and for the whisky connoisseur - Gordon and deli on South Street in Elgin. For the kids there is The Loft Activity centre in Kinloss, The Playbarn soft play in Llanbryde, the Cooper Park in Elgin, and further afield, Landmark at Carrbridge with its adventure park and water slides as well as pony trekking, dolphin spotting trips......the list goes on.Feeling like a meal or drink - there are a variety of cafes, restaurants and bars which make lovely use of the amazing local produce grown in this rural area.
Getting around
As we are a rural area car really is the best and most convenient way of travelling around to see the best of the area. There a bus that goes to Elgin every hour during the day. The closest rail and bus stations are in Elgin which is 5 miles away.
