Fantastic place
We stayed at the mill 17th - 24th August 2024, we had a wonderful stay. There is everything you need, it is also lovely and peaceful. It's not far from the beach which is beautiful, and also close to a Sainsbury's to get your essentials. Our dog enjoyed it aswell, the windows in the living room were the perfect height for him to look out and see the cows in the field. Roger is lovely and very helpful, from the day I booked it he answered any questions I had. We were sad to leave and are definitely looking to return.

A wonderful place to stay and explore the Highlands
This cosy cottage felt like a home away from home... Some days it was difficult to decide if we should stay or we should go out roaming the area, in particular the highly enjoyable 3 hr walk from Nairn to Cawdor. As well as being a lovely place to be, the Drumduan Mill had all the facilities for a truly comfortable stay, with a spacious lounge/living room, a fully equipped kitchen, fantastic bathroom and showers, comfy beds, lots of storage space and a West-facing patio for perfect barbecues and fires looking at the wonderful Scottish sunsets we were so lucky to have. It’s a place we are most determined to visit again, hopefully this time with full access to all the nearby historic places we couldn’t visit because of the current limitations. Keep in mind it’s the Scottish Highlands, so walking boots and waterproofs are a must. Walking sticks and crampons might also come handy should you decide to climb Ben Nevis

Wonderful
Firstly... Thanks to Roger and Vicki for the warm welcome and providing such a great experience. Two adults, three children and two dogs. Accommodation - with two doubles and one twin bedroom there was plenty of room and the bedrooms are all ver comfy and full of character. The kitchen is compact with all the mod-cons needed to ensure you are never left looking for anything. Plenty of utensils etc. Living room area is large and has plenty of room for everyone. The overall feel of the house is one of old style classical. Lots of antique style furniture and rugs hanging around really add to the feel that you are in an old building. The building itself is a converted mill and is clearly old but is warm and spacious with thought gone into the finished look. Area - Nairn itself is the usual semi-rural town. Not much there shop wise but the beach is just fantastic. We walked everyone's legs off and enjoyed the sea air. Grantown on spey and Inverness are not to far away and are both worth a visit. Boath house is nearby (2 minutes in the car) or 10 mins walk if feeling energetic. There is a cafe there called the Kale Yard that serves really tasty food during the day and up to mid evening. We were there a week and feel we have not yet finished and will be back.

Great base for a family holiday
My partner, two children, our dog Toby and I recently spent a week at Drumduan mill. The mill had everything we could have asked for. An amazing building full of character, really cosy, clean and comfortable and well equipped with loads of extras like washing machine iron & hairdryer which i wasnt sure would be there. We were lucky enough to have fantastic sunny weather most of the week and all had a swim in the sea on a few occasions at Nairn and Findhorn beaches. We were lucky enough to see dolphins two days in a row near Nairn harbour at the East beach which was a real treat. We had visited the area before when my children were younger and stayed at the caravan site, so now they are older having more space indoors and out was a welcome change. Roger and Vicki kindly also left bikes for us to use and we cycled easily into Nairn which took us about 15mins. There was a selection of books and cards etc for all tastes including childrens. My children loved are in their teens and both loved sitting up late at the firepit in the garden. A lovely holiday, thanks from all of us.

Einmalig!
Danke, Roger!

A lovely getaway
Stayed here whilst visiting family in Elgin. It’s a lovely quirky cottage with an eclectic taste in furniture. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It’s dog friendly too. We have had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of peace and tranquility.

Wonderful stay
Just left the Mill. It’s has been a great week, full of adventure. I flew in from France to spend time with my grandchildren. They loved the Mill, rolled down the little hill outside, we took a long walk to the Kale yard for afternoon tea, even walked into Auldearn and found the Sweetie shop. We gave Rory dog long walks to wear him out, then sit in front of the logburner. It was like a trip into the past, staying at Grandmas. So many nooks and crannies. The bath was the highlight, their sea world adventures. They snuggled up in their comfy beds with the hot water bottles, read stories from the children’s book collection. Made dens and little play places by the front window spaces. I had a very comfortable double bed all To myself and place big enough for my son and his wife to stay over. The owners were extremely helpful right from my first enquires to check out. A host of so many unexpected extras supplied on this already fantastic priced accommodation. A big thank you for making my departure so easy. Often find a list of jobs that must be done on check out, instead I got a big smile and don’t worry. Made my last evening so relaxing instead of a stress of the job list. A very unusual find tucked away in a beautiful setting. The children said they voted it ‘Their best holiday home’

Quirky Mill
We spent a week at this fabulous quirky mill just on the outskirts of Nairn. The ambience was lovely and so was Roger the owner. We particularly love the huge woodburner and the Olympic sized bath. On the downside though, the large front garden wasn’t fully fenced, which was a bit of s shame, but the dogs did have a small garden at the rear of the mill... plus lots of fab walks in the surrounding area!
