Our stay at the Old Harbour Master's cottage was absolutely incredible. The balcony has spectacular views over Loch Linnhe, which was great to look out over with your morning coffee. Nick, the owner, was very helpful in giving ideas of what to do with our stay, and we were lucky that the weather was on our side. If it's sunny when you go I recommend hiring some bikes as a quicker way to explore the beaches and the surrounding area. The town centre is a very short walk away, and you can jump on a ferry to be shown around the Loch and 'Seal Island', just down by the water. The apartment has a cork board in the kitchen with flyers of places to eat and things to do around the town, and there is a well stocked book shelf for advice on walking routes. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer, and we would definitely love to pay a visit to the Old Harbour Master's again!

Spacious flat in a great location, suited us very well
We were a family party staying for a week. The appartment was in a perfect location near to town centre, with shops, restaurants, supermarket, bus and train station all within easy walking distance (5-10 minutes). Climbing centre 3 doors away. Plenty of parking. Very well equipped. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Lovely top floor lounge with great views and balcony. The owner was very helpful. I had a bit of a panic when I realised one of the 4 bedrooms was only separated from the top floor lounge by a curtain, but it was fine - there is a dining room and kitchen on the first floor for people to use until the people in the "curtain" room were up. The weather was not great, but we had a good week in Fort William, with plenty to keep us busy.

Great walking base in the heart of magificent mountains
What a find! We were looking for a place to stay for our walking holiday in the Scottish mountains. This place was ideal - in the heart of Fort William, close to places to eat and mountains close by: Glen Nevis, Glencoe and all they have to offer within half an hour.
The cottage was warm, clean and tidy and well appointed, lots of storage space and a place to dry wet clothes (there was a little rain!) - we couldn't think of anything that was missing. Plenty of room with a sitting room upstairs and a view that is magnificent, overlooking Loch Linnhe.
We will be back!

Great value
A wonderful setting in central Fort William, with views over the loch and the mountains beyond. Loads of space in the apartment which makes it great value for the price in that location. We had a couple of maintenance issues while we were there, but owner Nick was very responsive. Decor fairly basic but warm, comfortable, well stocked and a great base for exploring the Highlands.

Old Harbour Masters Fort William
Highly recommend this property! It’s the perfect location in Fort William if you are walking the the Ben Nevis trail. It is literally a 10 min drive to the start of the trail. The accommodation is comfortable, with lovely views and all you will need for a break in Fort William. Local shops and restaurants just a 2 min walk into town. It is advisable to book the restaurants as they get really busy! Can’t fault it. Good communication from the owner Nick too!
Thank you for a lovely stay! Definitely will be going back 👍

Lovely house, larger than expected, with beautiful views
Stayed here with a few friends, the first time we have been up here. Planned to do Ben Nevis but was too cloudy... but beautiful walk was had anyway. Staying in this house made the weekend fantastic - there's lovely views on the top floor, plenty of room for socialising and hiding away, a well stocked kitchen, a good selection of board games, books, DVDs, and so on. We are all hoping to go back next year for a longer stay!
