We have always provided luxury toiletries for guest use and this will continue as normal, however we are now also providing hand sanitizer and extra cleaning products for guest use too. Mitchells is an elegant 18th Century Category A-listed Georgian townhouse and set in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town is the perfect venue as your holiday home from home. The house offers a relaxed luxury self catering vacation experience in surroundings where the original period features are complimented by a gentle palette of colours. A complementary welcome hamper is provided for your arrival to ensure your holiday starts the moment you arrive. With private and secure main door access, set over three floors, the house comprises two main bedrooms each with dressing area, ensuite and superking size beds; a double bedroom and a further single bedroom. There is ample social space for relazing with formal drawing room, family sitting room, large open plan kitchen dining space, shower room and main hall & stair case with dedicated study space. Set on the first floor the large kitchen is fully equipped and contains integrated appliances including dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. The room with limestone floors and solid Iroko timber work surfaces, island unit breakfast bar and open plan dining space sitting eight guests (a high chair is provided) is sure to the perfect setting for relaxed dining and lasting holiday memories. Two reception rooms offer generous living accommodation with the larger drawing room on ground floor fitted with solid oak flooring and feature stove. Located on the first floor near the kitchen the informal family sitting / TV room offers a cosy informal space complete with gas fire, books, board games and Wii games console. There are two main suites located on the second floor, each containing super king size beds, dedicated dressing areas and ensuite bathrooms with limestone floors and underfloor heating. A single room is located on first floor and a spacious double bedroom with king-size bed is located on the ground floor entrance level. All bedrooms are fitted with privacy roller blinds, black out blinds or curtains and spare blankets and throws should you need them. We understand that no two guests are the same and are happy to offer flexibility in the sleeping arrangements. One of the main bedrooms can be set to provide either a double or twin arrangement. The single bedroom located on first floor can be arranged to suit an adult or child on request and further cots are also provided for any younger guests. Furthermore, the family sitting room can be arranged as a single bedroom to provide accommodation for an extra guest, although notification for this is required prior to booking and may incur an additional cost. Features include the latest in-room technology as standard throughout the house with wi-fi broadband internet, blue tooth i-pod docks, multiple digital tv's. Laundry facilities include washing machine, tumble dryer and clothes airer in the cupboard located in the ground floor shower room. For those that like a little pampering luxury Scottish toiletries are provided in all bath / shower rooms, dedicated dressing areas within the master bedrooms and hair dryers to all three double bedrooms. We offer private car parking in a small single garage located on Young Street Lane at a cost of only £25 per night. If you are interested in using the parking facilities please just let us know at time of booking. There is also (pay and display) on street parking on the itself and on surrounding city streets. If arriving by car Young street is a one way street accessed from Charlotte Square. The airport bus and tram stops are only a few minutes away on foot, as are the nearest taxi ranks. The Waverley and Haymarket train stations and the Bus Station at St Andres Square are all within a ten to fifteen minute walk. Fantastic house
We visited Edinburgh as a group of 5 friends who had not seen each other in a while. The house was the perfect place for us to catch up, relax, have some wine, dance round the kitchen and have a wonderful time. It’s a perfect location, a beautifully presented place with plenty of room to relax in the kitchen, the living room or the snug room. We spent most of our time in the very well stocked kitchen and enjoyed a hamper that the owners had kindly left for us. I will certainly be returning here as soon as I can.

Good Long Weekend
After a few issues on booking which were solved we stayed here for three nights . Easy to get to from Edinburgh airport on the tram or bus . Contactless entry due to Covid which was easy and Young Street easy to find . House is huge on three floors double downstairs with huge living room shower room . Middle floor large kitchen dinner and single bedroom and another living area . Top floor two top floor master suites with en suites with bath and shower. Property clean and very large with everything you need . My only reason for giving four not five the property showing a few wear and tare marks on wall for a five star property for me it could do with painting and it is fairly quite but downstairs not double glazed so you can hear car on cobbles and peoples conversation as they walk by . Both points not that bad and would not put off staying again

Fantastic accommodation!
I stayed here in November 2019 with 6 friends. The apartment is absolutely fantastic, so spacious and very comfortable. There was everything we needed, the kitchen was very well equipped too. There was also a lovely welcome basket including 2 bottles of wine and other goodies! The location was great, not far from the centre. We all had a great time, would not hesitate in recommending and would certainly book again!

Perfect Location - Perfect Place
Located right in the center of The New Town close to restaurants and shops, within an easy walk to the many sights. This townhouse is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our group of five individuals were very comfortable as this property can accommodate more. There was plenty of space to spread out, more than we actually needed. The owner was very considerate and provided a lovely welcome that we greatly appreciated. I would recommend this home to anyone coming to visit. The only limitation would be that it is a three story unit with stairs.

Great location

Excellent week with three old school friends
First class location in central Edinburgh; galleries, museums, historic attractions and shops all within walking distance. Delightful, spacious property. Well equipped, Graham and Sarah have thought of everything! The welcoming hamper was particularly generous.

3 night birthday celebrations
Brilliant location and spacious. Everything was perfect, even allowing us an early check in and late departure. The reason I haven't given a five star rating is because of a few very minor issues and also building works going on in the house next door and also behind the property where they are re-furbing an office block. Work started at 7.30am on week days which woke us all up as no double glazing. I appreciate the owner has no control over outside noise, but would recommend and return. Edinburgh is fabulous.

Perfect house in a perfect location
We thought this house was absolutely brilliant from the front door right up to the top floor bedrooms, the location was just off the main Princes Street and very handy for walking to the shops, bars and restaurants. All the furniture and equipment is of a very high quality and you are left wanting for nothing. I personally slept like a baby and wanted to take the bed home with me. After long days out and about it was nice to return to the comfort of this house and kick back and relax with a few drinks before bed. I am reluctantly praising this house because it might be booked up for the next time we visit Edinburgh for the rugby weekend. Highly recommended and for once the online pictures don't lie. Also a big thanks to Christine for letting us drop our bags off early which was very much appreciated by us all.

Perfect property in perfect location
This property is so convenient, minutes from shops and excellent restaurants. The property is well equipped if you want to prepare meals, I stay with friends and we always eat out. A welcome pack ,including wine is a lovely touch. The beds are comfortable, plenty hot water and with three bathrooms no queuing. This is a large spacious house suitable for a family or a group of friends, with two sitting rooms room to sit quietly too.
