City-center studio apartment with a fabulous close-up view of Edinburgh Castle.
The Grassmarket Studio (Webster's Land) is in an ideal location for visitors to Edinburgh as it is just a short walk from Princes Street, the Old Town, the Royal Mile and the Castle.
Museums, galleries and visitor attractions are just a short walk, and also close by are a concert hall, theatres, cinemas, bars, restaurants, cafes and Princes Street Gardens. Airport bus/tram stops are 10/15 minutes walk.

The apartment is in a private residential apartment block (Webster's Land) which is on West Port, a street off the Grassmarket.

Very nice apartment. everything was fine, neat, silent. Splendid castle view. Close to the centre of Edinbourgh. A lot of tourist information in the apartment. The owners sent us keys in good time before our stay and information how to reach the apartment from the airport, so il vas easy to find it. We are ready to go back again...

The studio had a good size for one or two persons. Everything we needed was there. And we had a great view of the Castle. The location is perfect. The hosts very patient and helpful.

Lovely place to stay, well equipped and spotless. Great location as shops restaurants pubs etc. are all within walking distance. Had a great time here and will definitely return. Thanks to Jan and Tricia for a lovely stay in Edinburgh.

2 minutes walk to busy Grassmarket area with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, 5-10 minutes walk to Princes Street, museums, cinemas, theatres, the Royal Mile, the Old Town, including Edinburgh Castle. 15 minutes walk would take you to either Waverley Rail Station or Haymarket Rail Station, or to the tram and bus stops on Shandwick Place at the "West End" of Princes Street.
Arthur's Seat (Edinburgh's highest hill) can be hiked up in less than an hour - there are fabulous views from the top. More good views and exercise come from the easier walk up Radical Road, which is a path running just below the Salisbury Crags (the hill in front of Arthur's Seat).

Getting around
Edinburgh has quite a compact city centre and, with so many attractions in close proximity, walking is the most popular way to explore. But if you're planning a long day's sight-seeing, or to explore different areas of the town, then purchasing a Day Ticket on the local buses would be worthwhile (currently £4 per adult) - then you can hop on and off all day and evening on any of the city Lothian Buses or Trams.
