Amazing apartment, spotlessly clean and everything you could want for a perfect city break. Edele ( the owner) was so helpful and the free parking is a bonus in Edinburgh. Very handy location for all the shops/bars/cafes. I will definitely be rebooking when we can!

Great position for a fab city break
Close enough to the train station, just a steady walk down hill. Great places near by to eat and drink (the word of mouth cafe offers the best breakfast in town). Comfortable digs with plenty of room and a super friendly host made this an excellent boys rugby weekend. I'll bring my family next time!-)

Great ending to our Scottish adventure.
My three siblings and I ended our 2 weeks "tracing our roots" here. Really enjoyed the relaxed and quiet neighbourhood, convenience of the near by Tesco and spacious apartment. Edele was always quick to answer any questions previous to arrival which was a big help with the logistics of our arrival. Also the apartment was very comfortable and well equiped with everything we could have wanted. Thankyou for adding so much to our Scottish adventure.

Family catch up...
Had a lovely weekend staying at this apartment for a family get together. The apartment was easy to walk to from Waverley train station and easy to find by car. It is a well equipped apartment, and had everything we needed. The owner, Edele, kept in contact throughout the whole booking process and met us on arrival. Lots of useful local information also supplied for our visit. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Fantastic apartment
This apartment looked lovely online and was even better in reality! It was spacious, immaculately clean and had everything you could need. It was near to shops, restaurants and coffee bars and just a short walk into the centre. We will hopefully be back soon. Thank you Edele.

Eine sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung,super sauber, in zentraler Lage. Sehr nette Vermieterin. Die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, was das Herz begehrt. Wirklich klasse! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Fabulous!
Stayed here last minute as our other accommodation let us down. Couldn't of asked for better place to stay. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Fantastic location and exceptionally clean. Edele was very friendly and helpful.

A perfect stay!
We really enjoyed our stay – the apartment had everything we could possibly need, and was perfectly located for the city centre, and lots of fab restaurants and bars nearby. Edele was really helpful too, and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Solution For 4 or More People
We are from South Africa where spacious accommodation does not come at the premium we have seen on our travels in Europe and UK. One often finds pictures of accommodation are shot in such a way as to make the place seem larger than is the case. I was expecting to find a smaller place but when we walked in I have to confirm this apartment is the largest place I have ever stayed at outside of SA and USA. There were 6 adults and 1 toddler who stayed here for Christmas 2017. At no stage did we ever feel squashed. The apartment is also bright with many windows and offers you a choice of bath or separate shower (with decent water pressure). Both bathrooms looked new. The apartment is spotless and well maintained. Check out the list of amenities. This apartment has literally everything you could wish for, including a decorated Christmas tree which I thought was a nice touch. The big, roomy kitchen was perfect for preparing our Christmas Lunch, even if there were 6 chefs busy there was still plenty of room. The area in which the apartment is situated is clearly in a good, quiet, safe suburb with a shop just around the corner. Just about everything is in walking distance including the airport tram and local bus routes. Because of us being 4 + individuals Uber also made economic sense. One of the main streets is also literally just up the stairs and around the corner. Edele was regularly in touch with us to ensure all was going well. There is absolutely nothing I can offer as a criticism or suggest as an improvement to Edele's Hopetoun apartment. Thanks for a wonderful holiday in Edinburgh Edele! Guys and girls! Give this apartment a try, you definitely wont regret it.

About the neighborhood
Leith Walk has a plethora of coffee shops and little cafes where you can grab some breakfast. There are numerous quality restaurants within minutes of the apartment, as well as a lovely selection of pubs to choose from, modern and traditional. There are several Michelin Star Restaurants close by, The Kitchin and Martin Wishart can be found at The Shore area in Leith, while Number One and 21212 are within 10 minute walking distance. We also have menus for our favourite home delivery available in the apartment if you prefer a wee night in with your feet up. Broughton Street has many award winning bars as well as Crombies Butchers and Real Foods. Valvona and Crolla at the top of Leith walk is a wonderful Italian deli - a must for any foodies.
Getting around
The apartment is a 15/20 minute walk from Princes Street and all the attractions of Edinburgh. From Elm Row at the top of Leith Walk you will find buses going to all parts of the city. This is about 5 minute walk from the apartment. The York Place tram stop is 7 minute walk from the apartment. I love to walk and find it easy to get around Edinburgh on foot.

Edinburgh Airport - many of the economy airlines fly here - Easyjet, Ryanair and Flybe. Taxi from the Airport to the apartment, journey 20 mins, cost approx GBP25. Frequent Airport Shuttle Bus to Waverley Bridge, then 15 minute walk to flat or short Taxi ride. This bus costs GBP4.50 single ticket, GBP7.5 return ticket. (Jan 2017). The Tram from the airport takes 35 minutes and leaves you to York Place, this is less than 10 minute walk to the apartment. Costs GBP5.50 single and GBP8.50 return. (Jan 2017) Edinburgh Waverley Train station, 15 minute walk to flat or few minutes in a Taxi.
