This is a beautiful one bedroomed apartment in a peaceful block, close to the Union Canal for pleasant walks to the City Centre and ample bus routes close by.
The apartment is located on the second floor in a traditional Edinburgh tenement. It is tastefully furnished throughout with a spacious lounge, fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher) with a dining area , utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, double bedroom with king sized bed and a family bathroom with a bath and shower. The apartment has gas central heating with a combi boiler supplying hot water 24 hours a day.

There is free parking outside the apartment, it can be quite busy, but adjacent streets also have free parking spaces. If coming by plane the apartment is close to the Airlink bus stop.

About the neighborhood
HARRISON PARK right behind us, a lovely space to have a picnic
UNION CANAL is one of the best reasons to be around here. The towpath goes into town (about 30 minute walk) and if you head the other way, i.e. away from town, you’ll have a lovely walk. The aquaduct is just over a mile away. That brings you to the Water of Leith, beautiful walk up into the forest. It is well-signposted.
There are so many pubs and restaurants in Edinburgh – I can only highlight a few – at Tollcross there is the Blackbird, I enjoy going there for a drink, good food too. The Apartment (restaurant) is right there as well, always had lovely food there. The Caley Sample Room is probably the closest pub, great place, excellent food, it is towards town on Slateford Rd
Getting around
BUSES: Walk up to the canal, cross the bridge, turn left toward town: bus stop on Polwarth Terrace is the 10 and 27 (both buses drop off in the city centre) . There are major gas works going on at the moment so the regular bus stop is closed – a temporary stop is just a few yards along. Day tickets are excellent value – 4 pounds – but note that you have to pay with the exact amount, no change given on Lothian Buses (except the airport services). However guests using the tram or bus may want to download the Lothian Transport ticket app. This allows you to pre-purchase tram and bus tickets and will avoid the need to have change constantly at the ready.

4 & 44 bus routes run from Slateford Road (nr Ashley Terr) and Haymarket Train Station
If flying you can take the Skylink 300 service, which takes 45 minutes to the airport. The bus stop is on Ashley Terrace side of Slateford Road. Alternatively the airport has plenty of taxis - just ask for 58 Ashley Terrace.
