A lovely ground floor 2 double bedroom flat in a Victorian building with Castle views. Seconds walk away from the Usher Hall and Royal Lyceum Theatre, and minutes walk away from the Castle, Princes Street, the Grassmarket and the Royal Mile. There are two double bedrooms both with Castle views, a well-equipped internal kitchen, a bathroom with shower over the bath and a spacious traditional living room. Space The location of my lovely flat is truly amazing. As well as the Castle views, nearby theatres, parks and other sights, there are great bus links from Lothian Road area, and there are supermarkets nearby, including a 24-hour store less than 5 minutes walk away. The two bedrooms comprise one double approx. 3m x 3.6m and one small double approx. 2m x 3m. As well as the Castle views, nearby theatres, parks and other sights, there are great bus links from Lothian Road area, and there are supermarkets nearby, including a 24-hour store less than 5 minutes walk away. The two bedrooms comprise one double approx. 3m x 3.6m and one small double approx. 2m x 3m. Both rooms have a wardrobe and drawers to store your belongings. There is a well-equipped internal kitchen with fridge, microwave, toaster, electric oven with gas stove and extractor fan, electric kettle, blender and washing machine. There is one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The spacious traditional living room has an original fireplace and corniced ceiling, original wooden floorboards and wooden shutters on the windows. It is a lovely place to watch the world go by and relax after exploring the city. The street is not a through road, so even though it is so close to many amenities, bus links and more, it is actually very quiet. The Castle views from both bedrooms give you a comfortable, warm spot to enjoy a limited view of the Festival and New Year fireworks. You have access to the lovely communal garden outside also. Guest access You will have access to the entire flat and the communal garden. Guest interaction I'm normally not around, but I'll make sure that I communicate properly with you. Check-in is self check-in via a secure key safe. Neighbourhood overview The Castle, Usher Hall, Royal Lyceum Theatre, The Filmhouse, The Cameo (cinema), Edinburgh International Conference Centre, fantastic Italian and Thai restaurants, and so much more are all on your doorstep! There is also a Farmers' Market every Saturday around the corner on Castle Terrace. The street is extremely central, but also very quiet, as is not a through street for vehicles. There is metered on-street parking around the corner for £3.40 per hour (Mon - Sat 8.30am-6.30pm - free at other times). Getting around You'll be easy walking distance from many of central Edinburgh's sights, including the Castle, Grassmarket, Princes Street and its Gardens, The Meadows, many theatres and restaurants and more. There are loads of buses available from Lothian Road (2 minutes away) and Princes Street (5 minutes away) giving you access to the whole city and the Airport. Edinburgh Waverley train station is 1 mile away, and Haymarket train station is about 3/4 mile away. Other things to note This is a traditional stone tenement building, with a communal stone entrance stairwell. It is generally quiet but you may be able to hear tenants from the other flats from time to time.More
