Enjoy a relaxing city break in our spacious, light and airy Victorian apartment. Located minutes from Princes Street and the castle our flat is an ideal base to explore all that Edinburgh has to offer. The space - Unusual for Edinburgh, our flat is one of only two in the stairwell. We’ve lived in the area for more than 20 years and know all the best places to go. In 2009 we hosted the award winning Grid Iron Theatre Company mounting their one off performance of Roald Dahl’s classic tale ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’. Bedroom One - is situated at the front of the flat, it has 1920's Queen Anne style burr walnut furniture mixed with a new king size bed. There's plenty of hanging space and a chest of drawers. Bedroom Two - is to the rear of the flat, with a large double bed and plenty of storage space. It’s a large room and catches the afternoon sun. Our third bedroom is at the front of the flat and has a day bed with a pull out trundle bed converting it to a very comfortable double if needed. The lounge has duel aspect windows perfect for people watching! It features original cornices, two comfortable sofas and cable TV so you can relax after a hard day sightseeing! There is central heating throughout and a gas fire for when the chilly weather comes in. Situated at the back of the flat the kitchen gets the best of the afternoon / evening sun. It’s well equipped with a fan oven/grill and gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave. The flat is baby friendly with a high chair and travel cot available on request. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are available for guests to use. Guest access On arrival guests will be met in person by Dawn (she lived in the flat for many years and knows the area well!) During check in we'll show you round the flat in full and discuss the local amenities. There’s also a guest information book packed full of local knowledge and info on the best places to eat and drink. You have unrestricted access to the entire apartment and it will become a home from home. Interaction with guests We are always on hand to support you throughout your stay. You can contact us during business hours with general enquiries. Other things to note We are a 10 minute walk from Waverly Station and 5 minutes from the Bus station. The tram stops at the top of the street. Please note there is no parking provided at the flat, on street parking in Edinburgh is available we can advise on local restrictions. WIFI is available throughout the flat. Guest access On arrival guests will be met in person (unless prior arrangements are made for late arrivals). During check in we'll show you round the apartment in full and discuss the local amenities. You have unrestricted access to the entire apartment and it will become a home from home. Dawn welcomed us at the apartment and kindly took us to the best place for parking. The flat is spacious, warm, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. It was very convenient for visiting both the New and the Old Town. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable...More
