Dalbeattie Forest 7 Stanes 5 minute drive away and Ae forest a short drive through Dumfries. In good 4G area for those guests whom wish to use their own mobile data.More

Warm, clean, comfortable and very well-equipped. Great location for exploring near (e.g. Mabie Forest) and far (Mull of Galloway and Isle of Whithorn). Loved Threave Gardens and Castle (Ospreys) and Red Kites nr. Laurieston. Lovely sea-front paths/walks at Kipford and Rockliffe.More

Extensive leaflets of things to do and visit in and around Dumfries and Galloway and beyond located wicker baskets lodge bookcase. Along with booklets and info. Tourist Information office located Whitesands area Dumfries town centre. Ideal area for coastal , forestry walks. Great mountain bike area 7 states routes located Mabie forest and Dalbeattie town wood a few miles away. Dumfries town historical places of interest... Robert Burns trail, camera obscure observatory, Caveralock Castle, Drumlanrigg Castle, Threave Castle and gardens. Gretna Green ,outlet shopping, Glasgow Edinburgh day trips

Towerwood Floodlit Golfing Range is located 3 miles from lodge. along with Mabie Forest for mountain bike trails which can also be accessed via farm track from site for the more experienced on the purple route or a short car ride to the forest car park to pick up other trails from beginners to more adventurous trails- there is also a bike hire shop. Dalbeattie is located 6 miles away with numerous small local shops, 7 Stanes...
Getting around
Easy access by car to most tourist places of interest well sign posted for major attractions. On Solway coastal route. Lovely scenic driving route of coast. 1 mile to Beeswing village 5 miles to Dumfries town centre. 6 miles to Dalbeattie centre. 30 mins to Gretna Green. 1hr 30 mins to Glasgow and Edinburgh park and ride.
