Absolutely amazing place to stay in the heart of Cwmtwtch. This is our 8th year of staying at the Chapel and we love it there . Marnie and Yonnie are lovely hosts who insure that we have a lovely cosy stay . The Chapel caters for all your needs and we cannot highly recommend it enough to you it’s just superb . Local to Swansea not far from Carmarthen and near to shops . The local pubs are friendly and it’s perfect for families and friends wanting to get together. We are booked for 2023❤️. The property had everything that we needed for our family gathering. It was within easy access of walking country with spectacular waterfalls, a beautiful country park and the lovely beaches of the Gower area. The beds were all very comfortable and the garden area was safe and enclosed with picnic tables. Marnie, the owner communicated with us well and was attentive to our needs. I would recommend this property and also the surrounding area for a pleasant holiday.

After a rough 2 years, with various holidays cancelled etc. it was a real treat to be able to stay in the chapel. Communication from the owners Marnie and Yonni was exceptional. Friendly, timely they couldn’t do enough to make sure we felt welcomed. Immaculately clean, comfortable and homely, whilst at the same time,we felt spoilt by the beauty that the chapel offers. Lovely nearby walks, which was great. We wanted a restful, peaceful stay and couldn’t have chosen anywhere better. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Very high spec accomodation and an owner who bends over backwards to make sure you have a comfortable stay. There is however traffic noise from the main road which can be heard in the bedrooms, even with all windows closed. The dog next door barks during the night and early morning, it needs putting down. A few plastic cups for children would also be useful.

A lovely converted chapel with excellent facilities, with 3 bedrooms on 1st floor and bathrooms and en-suite, ground floor has 2 bedrooms and a wet room making it ideal for those that can not use stairs, pet friendly with an enclosed garden. Clean and well equipped, beds very comfortable, bedding and towels lovely made it feel very homely. Situated only 20/30minutes from Swansea and the beeches, supermarkets nearby lees than 1 mile away with pubs and places to eat nearby. The owner (Marnie) was fantastic excellent communication, nothing was to much trouble and made our stay with my family's special needs and the special family occasion a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The area has plenty to see and we hope to visit again, I would recommend this whether its for a holiday or just a family get together. A GREAT PLACE.

Such great facilities, super clean, super location, truly a beautiful building that has been lovingly converted! Great walks, pubs and people!

Once again we booked our lovely stay at the Chapel for our Christmas break, this is our 7th year . There was 7 of us nurses this year, enjoying once again a fabulous fun time in this idyllic little Chapel . Marnie and Yonni go up and above to ensure your stay is perfect . We highly recommend staying here , it’s not far from Swansea or Carmarthen and plenty of places to go walking . Shops are local and nice friendly pubs too . We have already booked for 2022 . Great for family and friends get together , facilities excellent and plenty of room for all . The Chapel is so cosy too, we absolutely love it there !!!

We stopped at chapel for 1 week we loved it marnie the owner was fantastic I would highly recommend ♡

The chapel has been sensitively refurbished to a high standard. We were only a party of 3 so had plenty of space, to rattle around, though I wouldn't hesitate to come back with a larger party and there would still be plenty of space. Ground floor has accessible double bedroom and wet room which made life super easy as one of our part has mobility difficulties. The chapel is well resourced, what you can't find in the kitchen cupboards isn't worth mentioning, and the knives were sharp!! Everything was fresh and clean, we felt 'covid safe'. One of the light bulbs blew out during our stay, a quick call to Marnie saw it fixed same day, very responsive and helpful. I took my bike and soon found my way to National Cycle Route for some fabulous rides, there is secure storage in the cellar. A short car ride took us to local beaches, Mumbles and Aberavon (this one is accessible for wheelchair), fabulous waterfalls and the cliff tops at Rhossili, all stunningly beautiful. Could say so much more, there is a secure garden if you have dogs/children, lovely balcony off the kitchen dinner to catch the evening sun (we got lucky with the weather even in late September). Capel Cartref feels like it has been designed to be a comfortable family home and is not 'just a rental', highly recommend it. Already recommending to my friends and family.

Capel Cartref is a beautiful place to stay comfortable warm and welcoming. There is so much to do in the area and further afield if you choose or just chill out.
