2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 6
Brecon, Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales
This secluded and idyllic 17th century old stone cottage was built for the family who worked the ancient copper mine, which used to be nearby. It is 50 yards behind the Chapel Manse, down a private lane amongst fields and has a large walled south facing grassy garden with garden furniture and a BBQ. This cottage is a peaceful quiet retreat from the hectic pace of life where one can be completely undisturbed except for the birds and the sheep. The village of Felin Fach is only a mile down the lane with the ever popular local Plough and Harrow pub and the celebrated gastro-pub The Felin Fach Griffin - but make sure you book.

Cottage accommodation Sleeps 6, 2 bedrooms.

had a very relaxed stay cottage is very quaint but felt it could have been cleaner, could not mop up as floor cleaner than the mop!

leak coming through ceiling onto dining kitchen table.Fires were lovely and cosy, unfortunately arrived at cottage late to find no kindling to light fire and it was rather cold, little things from owner/caretaker could have made stay more welcoming/comfortable,i.e. welcome pk if only kindling and wood ready to start the fires!had to clean shower head before having a shower as

mouldy, had to clean lamps above bedhead as cobwebs hanging from them.walled garden

great as safe for my two cockers run around in.
The drive up to the cottage was a shared drive and could be difficult to drive down and extremely muddy and uneven we have a lowered car and sometimes worried about maybe damaging the exhaust the neighbour would also park there car in an awkward position for us to drive out of the drive also
