Immaculate cottage ideally situated for North Wales holiday
We arrived a little early (3pm arrival) but Les welcomed us into the accommodation and gave a thorough introduction to where everything was and how it all worked. We quickly got settled (thanks for the Welsh cakes, gorgeous roses, tea, coffee, milk, etc!) This thoughtfully appointed hi-spec/hi-tech cottage is situated in beautiful established grounds - a real nature haven! We couldn't have asked for a more perfectly situated homely base for our week's holiday in North Wales and Anglesey. Although the weather was pretty good for the whole week we'd love to come back in summer to experience this wonderful part of the world again! Thanks Les for your hospitality, care and attention of this wee holiday sanctuary. Enjoy Summer 2024!

Perfect Stay!
The cottage is beautifully presented, immaculately clean and well appointed. Set in a lovely secluded garden area. Attentive host, Les was very thoughtful and considerate throughout our stay. We were visiting our daughter who is studying at Bangor University and the cottage is conveniently located for the town centre as well as a great location for exploring the wider North Wales area and Anglesey. Thank you for a perfect stay, we hope to return!

Perfect Base for Exploring
This delightful cottage was the perfect base for hiking and paddleboarding, both on Anglesey, and also in Snowdonia. The cottage itself was larger than we expected, tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. It is set in the beautiful grounds of the house, however it feels cleverly secluded with its own private patio area. Les was welcoming and a great source of local knowledge - thank you. We enjoyed the welcome treats and fresh flowers too. We always looked forward to returning to Tyddyn Sydney Bach after a long day's hike. We would thoroughly recommend this cosy cottage.

Bungalow for Two
We have just returned from a week's holiday at Tyddyn Sydney Bach, you drive up the lane and the gate opens to a wonderful garden and Tyddyn Sydney Bach. A lovely bungalow for two with everything you could ask for set in the gardens. Les and William were perfect hosts, and the situation is ideal for exploring Anglesey and North Wales.

A lovely cosy cottage ideal for a relaxing holiday for two.
Ideally situated to explore North Wales and Anglesey. A high standard, spotlessly clean, well equipped cottage in a lovely garden run by excellent hosts. A bottle of wine and Welsh Cakes as a welcome gift reflects the care and attention to detail given by William and Lesley who ensure you have everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

5 Star self catering cottage.
Just had a one week holiday in this top quality cottage. It was equipped with all the the things you could possibly require. We were greeted by its owner Les who showed us around, she is obviously very proud of the top standards of accommodation offered to her guests. To make her guests even more welcome, a complementary welcome pack was provided along with flowers in the kitchen and bedroom. This cottage provided the best self catering accommodation we have ever experienced.

Fabulous
This cottage is absolutely fabulous, it’s got everything, the location is second to none, 3 or 4 minutes from the Menai Bridge into Anglesey and all the mountains, William and Lesley are absolutely fabulous hosts with a great welcome, they will go out of their way to help you, this cottage asks for nothing it’s got everything you could wish for, on our arrival we found in the fridge :: a bottle of wine , strawberries with fresh cream , welsh cakes, it was our second visit in consecutive years. Thank you William and Lesley for a memorable holiday, will never forget you.

About the neighborhood
Tyddyn Sydney Bach is located in the secluded grounds of a larger cottage in the village of Treborth, just on the outskirts of the University City of Bangor, between the internationally famous Britannia and Menai Bridges crossing to Anglesey. Treborth is as old as the Faenol Estate, which dates from Tudor times. Treborth means a homestead and a ferry and was probably associated with one of the many ferries crossing the Straits. In the 19th century it became the site of one of the greatest works of engineering of the railway age and home to the hundreds of workers and their families. Five minutes walk from Tyddyn Sydney Bach takes you to one of the Britannia Bridge Lions and a little further on to some of the last relics of the original tubular bridge and its construction. Five minutes walk in the other direction takes you to the Treborth driving range and 9 hole golf course
Treborth is on the outskirts of the small but lively University City of Bangor with her restored Victorian Pier, Port Penrhyn and beautiful Cathedral where Deiniol founded his monastic community in 525 AD. Art and local artifacts are on display in Gwynedd Museum and Gallery. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool complete with diving boards and water slide, all-weather 5-a-side and grass playing fields, Bowling Green and a shopping street which is reputed to be the longest High Street in Wales.
Bangor is a friendly coastal city with unique character and landscape which boasts its own mountain and panoramic views of the sea. Bangor Mountain is home to the St. Deiniol Golf Club designed by James Braid, the famous golf architect and Open Champion. In the City itself there are nature and heritage trails linking the City’s green spaces with its rich-architectural heritage.
Nearby the National Trust’s properties of Penrhyn castle, a Neo-Norman revival mansion, which has stunning views, a Victorian walled garden, collection of dolls and toys, steam engines and great master paintings and Plas Newydd with its collection of Whistler’s work where the fascinating and intriguing mural can be seen in the dining room should not be missed neither should the World Heritage Site of Edward 1 castles at Beaumaris, Caernarfon, and Conwy.
Bangor is twinned with Soest in Westphalia, Germany and enjoys frequent exchanges between Soest and Bangor Citizens.
Tyddyn Sydney Bach just off junction 9 of the A55 is the ideal base for exploring and experiencing culture, history, outdoor and leisure pursuits
