Idyllic Location
Such a warm welcome at this gorgeous cottage. Joanna and Simon were the perfect hosts. The cottage was very well equipped and had stunning views in every direction! So much to do and see within easy reach and 3 pubs within easy walking distance! We will definitely be back!

Walk from the door, comfortable, warm and cosy
Plenty of walks from the door, warm and cosy home. Lovely towels and comfy bed, flowers in the rooms were a lovely touch. There's a pub," The Old Silent Inn", serving good food at a good price just a short walk away. Lots to do in the area. We particularly liked the fact that the cottage was pet free and booked it because of this. The cottage was clean and we would recommend it to our friends. Just a point to note that you will need to provide your own logs for the fire, shampoo, washing powder, tea bags etc. There is no dishwasher but that didn't really bother us. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Stunning location and property, lovely Host.
Joanna is a very pleasant, helpful and efficient Host. Lovely family. The stone cottage is large, comfortable, spotless, beautifully decorated and sits amidst the most beautiful property. The views from all windows are just sublime. Up to the hills and over the dales or down to the valley and across the pastures. It is in the loveliest little old village, Stanbury. Parking was at the front of building. The Wifi always worked. All rooms spacious, comfy bed and pretty bathroom, with storage and superb views down the valley and over the hills. A very large inviting modern kitchen with washing machine and views even when seated. A downstairs Loo saved trekking upstairs if downstairs. Beautiful gardens and lawns and paved outdoor seating areas for guests. My husband turned British and took to the hills and dales in all weather to ramble about taking photographs of the stunning location. He even managed a photograph of the resident Owl. Many friendly locals he met on his rambles gave him helpful advice on nearby places of beauty and historical importance to get to for his photography. Greatly appreciated. Hebden Bridge, Wycoller Hall and Haworth of Bronte fame very close and easy to visit. There are 3 Pubs in tiny Stanbury which were easy to walk to from Royds Hall. Wuthering Heights Pub was very authentically and attractively decorated with a very new impressively elegant Ladies Room and we had a couple of good meals at the Old Silent Inn which seems to sit under the cliff Royds Hall stands on. Great Staff and excellent food. No Ghost our visit. Sad. Our thanks to Jo and family for sharing their beautiful Piece of Paradise.

Fabulous well equiped cottage in stunning location
The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was very cosy and warm which was fantastic as the weather was cold and blustery and a bit rainy at times. It was beautifully furnished and decorated with fabulous views out across the Worth valley. Moorland walks straight from the door and close to Howarth with the Bronte Parsonage Museum, lovely shops and pubs. We happened to be there for the steam punk week-end in Howarth with people in Victorian dress which was fun! We had a birthday event with friends in Lytham St Annes and a lunch at the Inn at Whitewell so had the opportunity to travel over the hills and valleys on the scenic route to the Forest of Bowland and beyond. Definitely stay again!

Fabulous and hospitable!
We had a really wonderful short stay. The place was homely, comfortable, well-equipped and sparkling clean. The views are beautiful and Joanna was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating - no doubt we would be friends if we lived nearer! We would thoroughly recommend this place and we will definitely return if we get the chance! Thanks Joanna - it was lovely to meet your family too! Sending best wishes, Suzanne and Kirk :)

Perfect cottage and location
This is an extremely comfortable and spacious cottage which has been very thoughtfully and tastefully furnished by the owners.. Everything you could possibly want is here in the cottage including vases of fresh flowers to welcome visitors. The fabulous views across the valley, their horses and the rabbits and chickens roaming about just completed the setting. Our time here was most comfortable and peaceful, thank you Jo and Simon...
