4 Lower Chapel Court is situated in a former Gothic hospital designed by Sir Gilbert Scott famous for building St Pancras Station in London. It has been converted to a comfortable 2 bedroomed cottage of character. The cottage has its own self contained south facing patio garden with garden table and chairs. The City of Wells famous for its Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and the oldest existing Tudor street in the country is within walking distance.

Also close by are the famous Glastonbury Tor, Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar Caves which also boasts one of the most spectacular gorges to be found in Britain. Bath and Bristol are approximately 50 minutes by car. Local transport runs regularly to both cities. The cottage is also close to Wells Golf Club for those who fancy a round of golf. The cottage is situated in the peaceful setting of South Horrington about 30 minutes walk from the lovely cathedral city of Wells. The accommodation is very well equipped, comfortable and immaculate. This cottage is situated in the South Horrington Village. A very well appointed cottage with all the Mod Cons. Plenty of parking. Courtyard is a real plus. Easy walking to Wells township and golf course. Owner, Chris, is extremely helpful with her knowledge and information. Would definitely stay again when returning to Wells. 👍👍👍👍👍

About the neighborhood
The City of Wells is dominated by it's magnificent cathedral. Wells is the smallest city in England with a population of just 10,000. The cathedral dates back to 1180, the Chapter House, Vicar's Hall, the Cloisters and Vicar's Close date back form the 13th to the 15th centuries. The cathedral hosts many classical concerts throughout the year.<BR><BR>Another of the major attractions in Wells is the historical Bishop's Palace dating from the 13th century. The Palace is surrounded by a moat and is set among beautiful gardens. Getting around
Here are some handy tips about travel around the area.

The nearest bus stop.
Turn left out of the cottage door and walk 75 yards with the wall on your right.
There is a gap in the wall with some steps. Go up the steps and you will see ahead of you (about 25 yards) a gap in the wall. The bus stop to Bath is opposite. The bus stop to Wells is to your left. Remember in England to put out your arm or sometimes the bus may not stop.
