Oxford, Oxfordshire, England
Midsomer Cottage is a delightful refurbished and extended three bedroom Victorian cottage with open outlooks, situated in a charming village within the Oxford ring road, and with easy access to the city. The accommodation is 4 star, stylish, and provides comfortable space for five or six people.

The main staircase is steep, and there is a paddle staircase to the twin bedroom on the second floor, making it unsuitable for children under about seven, or the elderly.. However a cot and stair gates are provided, and many families have enjoyed a happy and comfortable stay in the cottage.

The village of Iffley is ideal for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Oxford as it is on an excellent bus route into the city, is close to the river, and offers a lovely old Norman church with a Piper window. There is a community village shop run by village...

What a beautiful cottage! It was relaxing and delightful and just what we wanted. It was also bigger than it looked in the pictures which was a bonus. Cheryl greeted us and was so helpful and lovely :-) It was clean too, and had everything we needed. ABSOLUTELY recommend

Management response:

So glad you had a great time, and that the cottage exceeded your expectations. We hope you come again.

This is an exceptional rental house. We know Oxford well and to find an affordable, convenient base was difficult. Our party was 4 adults, 3 children - one with special needs. The owner could not have been more accomodating and concerned about what we may need for our short stay. The house was warm, comfortable with everything we may need....

Management response:

We are so glad that the cottage lived up to your expectations, and that you felt we were there for you. Sue

Getting around
A feature of life in Oxford is easy bus service to airports, a good train service, and plenty of taxis. However perhaps a bike will seem most appropriate once you see how many there are in regular use.
Car not needed
