The surrounding countryside offers good walking and cycling opportunities, with picturesque cycle routes leading along the riverside path into the very heart of York. Hop in the car and venture into the North York Moors National Park to explore Dalby Forest, a beautiful setting for a family day out woven with walking and bike trails and a Go Ape centre! An easy drive away, the idyllic market town of Knaresborough is situated in the shadow of a large aqueduct, with a bustling market square and quaint, friendly pubs, cafés and shops located along the River Nidd. Take a stroll along the river, visit Knaresborough Castle and Mother Shipton’s Cave and in the summer, enjoy an ice-cream and hire a row boat.
