It has lots of natural light and windows to both aspects.Strolls along the river and the city walls are moments away and all the attractions of York are a very short walking distance. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer dryer and plenty of crockery, glasses and utensils. There is an iron, ironing board and hairdryer.The bathroom is spacious with large bath and shower and complimentary toiletries and has fluffy towels, robes and slippers.The large living room has a dining area, a comfortable quality 3 seater sofa and an armchair and TV. There is free unlimited WIFI.The bedroom is roomy with a high quality kingsize bed, lots of storage and mirrors.The apartment is centrally heated.The apartment is calm and tranquil with no outside noise even though it is in a city location. It's perfect for watching the world go by, see the boats on the river and enjoy the city views. The kitchen is stocked with quality crockery and cutlery and essentials of paper towels, salt and pepper. The fridge will have milk and a few essentials. There is always some treats waiting for you. Had a fantastic stay .Sue & John were lovely hosts who came to meet us explained how everything worked And very helpful explaining what was on in york and how to find everything .Little extras butter milk muffins etc .Flat was perfect had everything needed just like home from home .Spotless and very comfortable.Short walk to city centre .A must for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in York.

Great location with parking. Lovely flat. We try to always stay here when visiting York and always have a great holiday. Sue and John are excellent hosts. We love it. Can’t wait until our next holiday here.

We have stayed at the Postern Gate Apartment on a number of occasions, and we enjoy each stay just as much as the last one. Sue and John go out of there way to make sure your stay is as pleasurable as possible, a real home from home with everything you need. It’s very well situated for all the shops, bars and restaurants, and you have your very own private parking space, which is a bonus when staying in York. Looking forward to our next stay in May 2021. A really nice apartment in a great location with a partial river view. Very easy to walk into the City, nothing is very far away. Private parking as well which is a bonus. John and Sue were very good hosts with great communication throughout, including on the day we we arrived. We would certainly stay here again, enjoyed our time in York.

The booking arrangements for this delightful, one bedroom flat are simple and customer friendly. John and Sue, the owners, are easy to deal with and are very friendly. The flat is close to, and wiithin 5 minutes walk, of York City Centre. The flat is comfortable and although close to a main road, noise is minimal due to efficient double glazing. Decor is unfussy, light and the flat has an airy feel to it. The owners provide a welcome pack of kitchen essentials for visitors and some very welcome luxury items too (lovely, and thanks due to John and Sue). Great value and yes, we will be back.

The apartment is excellent; beautifully decorated, clean and tidy and with everything you could need for a short break in York. It didn't take long to relax into our lovely home-from-home. The owner was extrememely helpful and welcoming and we were very grateful for the little treats left to welcome us. We were impressed with how close it was to the city walls which could be viewed and accessed just across from the apartment. The centre attractions are just a short walk away, too. With so much to see and do, we will definitely be booking this lovely apartment again when we next decide to visit York. Private parking is close to the apartment and easy to find (the owner will provide you with the apartment number which corresponds with the number of the parking space).

Great apartment that is ideally suited for the city centre and further afield. The owners could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Near a busy road but you can not hear a thing thanks to the double glazing that is installed which also keeps the apartment warm and comfortable. A welcome pack and guided tour welcomed us and we were made to feel relaxed immediately. Definitely hope to return soon. Recommended - 5 Stars
