Whitby, Scarborough District, North Yorkshire, England
Tucked away just off the centre of the village of Fylingthorpe is 2 Chapel Cottages. This is a building with a history. A charming stone built cottage, formerly a small village chapel but converted to its present use over a hundred years ago. The cottage is very well appointed, with a stylish modern kitchen, but retaining the character of the 1800's. Wesley is reputed to have preached at this chapel a number of times. There is an entrance hall giving access to a homely lounge with a new wooden floor, leather chesterfields, gas stove and well appointed kitchen and fully tiled new bathroom. On the first floor there are two bedrooms. King size bed with new heather tartan curtains and accesserories and full size adult bunk beds. A truly characterful and charming cottage benefiting from a south facing cottage rear garden. Ample street park... Read more

Such a great stay. The cottage was great and clean and the bed so comfy. The owners couldn't have done more for us when we realised we didn't have towels.. Ralied around and bought them! The walk to robins bay is lovely, the locals super friendly and we will definitely return The shower was also really powerful and lovely x...

Reviewed 3 weeks ago for a stay in September 2016

My fiance and I stayed here in September for a week. Lovely wee house that is well equipped. Home from Home. If we were to come back in the future we would definitely return here. Comfy and cosy. Only slight down fall is lack of parking as it's on a wee country lane and the plug in the bath fell...

Management response:

Holidays should be relaxing, we really like to keep that cosy feel. It is still a country lane but you should have been fine parking close by. The plug was a little rascal! Tricky little thing, since superseded! now bath can be a soak not a challenge... Look forward to welcoming you back. Robert.
