Scoresby Escape was built in late 1800's is full of character and has plenty of room for a great family getaway with 5 bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 10 people! Large open plan living room with flat screen TV and dining room seating 10 people. With on-street parking opposite on a first come first served basis!
Scoresby Escape has been furnished and decorated to a high standard and provides an excellent standard of accommodation to couples and families looking to enjoy this beautiful coastline. With only a short walk to the harbour, Town centre amenities and local attractions!
Just had an amazing weekend away with fabulous friends stayed in scorsby escape terrace house absolutely gorgeous house had everything we needed to have and made some wonderful memories again already booked for next year don't be fooled by terraced house it's a very very big beautiful house warm comfortable spotless couldn't fault it highly recommend it

A lovely well decorated house
Scoresby Escape is a lovely house well placed for the centre of Whitby. Just a few minutes walk into town. True there’s a bit of a hill on the way back but that gets easier each time you do it.
The only downside is the parking situation - the spots around the house were generally full unless you were really lucky.
Still a nice place to stay.

Scoresby Escape Whitby
The house was perfect it had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay, We were a group of 10 for our annual get together and everyone enjoyed their long weekend. It is an ideal place to stay near the town, you do have to go up hill to the house but if you cannot manage it there is always plenty of taxis. Would definitely recommend the house to anyone who wants to stay in Whitby.

A wonderful base for a Whitby holiday
We have just stayed for a week and all agreed this was one of the best holiday lets any of us have stayed in. There were 9 of us and we had plenty of space for everyone, the house is decorated to a great standard and is equipped with everything you could possibly need - we were amazed by how well stocked the kitchen was! As previous reviews have stated the parking can be a bit hairy if you have a big car, and there’s a hilly walk back up to the house at the end of the day, but neither of these are really issues when compared to the plus sides of staying here. Thanks for everything, we will definitely be back!

Another lovely stay at Scoresby Escape
This was our 3rd stay at Scoresby Escape for our family and as usual the house was perfect. The owner Brett is very helpful. We all love Whitby and have stayed in several different places but we love this house, has everything you need. The little back yard is also lovely and quiet to have a morning cup of tea in or glass of wine in the evening 🙂

We booked the property to celebrate my mums 70th birthday ranging from 14 to over 70 and the property suited everyone, I would highly recommend you can walk to the harbour in less than 10 mins local pub right on the corner with chippy opposite.
The property is of a very good quality and has everything you need
Do not hesitate to book if your wanting a fabulous break in Whitby

Short Break
We had a great 3 day break at Scorsby escape, the property was spotless when we arrived, it was within easy walking distance of to the centre of Whitby, although it is a steep hill on the walk back and Brett (the owner) was quick to respond to any queries. I would definitely book with him again if we go to Whitby

Lovely family break
Really enjoyed our stay. Close enough to everything, lovely fish and chip shop round the corner and the pub was good to. Close enough to walk into the centre.
Had everything we needed for a family group from 3-60 years old. Brett was brilliant at communicating with us. Great break.

Booked this charming house for my wife and I to take our kids and grandkids to use as a base to enjoy wonderful Whitby. Completely satisfied with everything. Scoresby terrace had everything you could possibly need and warm and comfortable to boot. The price was very good and will stay again without hesitation. However fair to say Whitby is very hilly, so the stroll home could challenge someone with mobility issues,but taxis easy option. Book with confidence we were very satisfied.
