A beautiful ground floor apartment in an 1860 townhouse overlooking Hackney Downs park. Hackney is the new 'place to be' in London and is close to the centre (zone 2) and well connected with public transport. The property has a beautiful large walled garden with summer house. With 3 double beds and one single the house very comfortably sleeps 5 people - please enquire if you have a bigger group. All the spaces are large, well appointed and with beautiful views. The house feels very tranquil and almost part of the surrounding parks and gardens - a quiet break from the busy city around. Fully renovated in autumn 2017 with a new kitchen and French hand-scraped solid oak floors throughout

Interaction with guests:
This property is entirely self contained. We (my husband Eduardo and I) will usually welcome you and then leave for elsewhere, sometimes our home in Brazil. When we are away we have house managers who live in the same building and can support you if required.
The house is located fronting Hackney Downs Park and at the back has a very large walled garden. So although you are in central London with the trendy vibe all around, the property is remarkably quiet and often the only sound you can hear is birdsong. Everything is just a short walk away - bars, restaurants, delicatessens….. Central Hackney is famous for its arts scene with many small galleries, studios, independent cinemas and theatres. As of now, February 2018, I think Hackney is as good as London gets - trendy and edgy without being over gentrified….enjoy it before it goes that way!!
Car not needed
How to get there
The house is located within a 10 minute walk from two stations of the tube network on the Overground Line (Orange) - one heads into Central London, the other to East, South and West London. We are 5 minutes walk from a bus terminus (Clapton Pond) Residents parking is available in the street and we can give you permits for £8/day
