There are numerous restaurants in every direction, and both buses and the underground are on your doorstep. There is no other area in London that offers so much for the tourist. The Tate Modern can be reached in under 10 minutes, and from here you can walk across the Millenium Bridge straight to St Paul's Cathedral.
