Refurbished in August 2017, the apartment is in immaculate condition, with new furniture and furnishings. Rooms are light and airy, with good-sized windows, and a balcony off the sitting room, overlooking Portobello Road. Set in the heart of Notting Hill Gate in a 1950s purpose-built apartment block, it is surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.. and of course the world-famous Portobello Market. It's a buzzy area with lots to do and see - great for exploring or just hanging out. All rooms are accessed from a central hall, with a coat cupboard at the end and plenty of space for coats, bags and suitcases. The apartment has three bedrooms, two with king size (5ft) beds, one with two twin beds - all windows have newly-installed plantation shutters. The beds have good quality 100% cotton bedding, with goose/duck down duvets and pillows. There is a luggage rack in each room for guests' suitcases, and each bedroom has a large built in cupboard with plenty of coat hangers. The bedrooms are carpeted while the rest of the apartment has stripped back wooden floors. The living room has wall-to-wall windows on one side, so the room is light and airy. There is a door leading out on to a balcony, with cafe-style chairs and table to enjoy the sunshine. There is a new tiled bathroom, with a bath/shower, a sink cabinet and hot towel rail. The toilet is in a separate room, adjacent to the bathroom, also with a small hand basin. Guests will be provided with towels, and there are hand towels in the WC and a bathmat in the bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery, a kettle, toaster, microwave, electric oven and hob. There is integrated fridge/freezer and a slimline dishwasher. A washer-dryer is available for guests for any washing that needs doing during their stay.More

Notting Hill Gate is a popular area of west London and best known to most tourists as the setting for the famous movie Notting Hill. It also plays host to Europe’s biggest street festival - the Notting Hill Carnival. The streets are packed with with fashionable restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, and the area is home to one of London’s best markets: Portobello Road Market. A cinema, built in the early 1900s - The Electric - can also be found on the Portobello Road. Visitors are attracted by its quirky backstreets, pretty gardens and buzzy vibe - it's a perfect place to spend a weekend, or longer. Whether you’re into shopping, eating, film, or just people watching, it’s a great area to base yourself in London.
Getting around
The nearest underground stations are Notting Hill Gate and Ladbroke Grove – both around 10 minutes away (0.5 mile). Directions from the stations to the apartment are below. Notting Hill Gate – 10 minutes - This is on the Central (red), District (green) and Circle (yellow) lines. - Take Exit 3 – North Side, Portobello Road and market – up the stairs. There are also signs for Portobello Road market. - Come out of station and go straight ahead (Santander is on your right). - Take the first right on to Pembridge Rd – Foxtons estate agent is on the corner. - Continue over small roundabout, to the right, on Pembridge Road. Use the zebra crossing just past Starbucks to cross over to the other side of the road. - After about 150 metres turn left
