The house was big which is worth more than I expected in staying. Very Comfortable stay, bed is soft and comfy , location was great and accessible heading to center of London. Shops and restaurants are just walking distance..Highly recommended!!

Great choice for our first family London Trip! We only stayed here for 4 nights but I wished we could've stayed longer. The owner is very nice and helpful. We arrived to a very warm welcome from him, and gave us lots of useful information...More

About the neighborhood
It's a very peaceful and friendly neighborhood. Enjoyable to have a 5 minute walk next to the lovely park with beautiful landscapes and colorful flowers and plants. Its just less than 3 minutes walk towards the cinema, shops, restaurants and bus stop to access Central London.
Getting around
Local Shops and attractions
Across the road is a Tesco Express which provides most basic shopping needs (including an ATM cash machine outside). For a bigger supermarket you can go to Sainsburys which is a short bus ride away on East Barnet Road (buses 107 or 307).
There is Everyman cinema across the road and also a number of pubs and the Rice Terrace Thai Restaurant close by. There are also a wide variety of shops, bars etc in High Barnet which is a little further up the hill from the tube (underground) station.
Car not needed
How to get there
The house is an 8 minute walk (I timed it!) from High Barnet underground station (we call it the 'tube') which is the last stop on the Northern Line. It is a 30 minute trip to Camden Town (fantastic for live music, eating out and delightful market). Another 10 minutes and you will arrive in central London with all the tourist sights, theatre, etc. New Barnet overground station is also a short bus ride down the road and this will get you into central London even more speedily. There are also many buses from just across the road. These are for local and central London destinations. You really should not have to wait more than 10 minutes and usually less to catch a bus.
