I booked this place for myself and two pals who meet up every year for walking in the Lakes. It's a really nice lodge with very good fixtures, fittings and furniture and ideal for a week (or more) to base yourself as a walker - indeed there are some delightful circular walks straight from the lodge up Troutbeck valley. There was lashings of hot water for baths and everything we needed to cook for ourselves and make take-out lunches. I particularly appreciated little extras like cling-film and sandwich bags (which we'd forgotten to take). Delightful location too - we enjoyed eating out on the balcony in the evening overlooking Troutbeck valley and when we were there (early July) it was very peaceful and quiet. Would very highly recommend.

Just returned from a stay at Fellside lodge, everything was great. It makes such a refreshing change to have everything you need for your stay, enough pans, sharp knives, draining boards, dishes, chopping boards etc. Sounds obvious but so many places just don’t have all these things and it makes so much difference. It’s the small touches! The location is lovely and we managed to visit the river pool, on-site bar, park and horse riding - all of which the kids loved! The site is quiet and a mile away from some of the other commercial sites. The flowers and chocolates were a lovely touch! Only issue was with the wifi for few days but believe this was a site wide issue and worked ok once resolved. Thanks again, hope to visit again soon!

We had a wonderful break at Fellside in Sept. We have been several times now and thoroughly enjoyed every trip. The lodge is very clean and has all the equipment needed for a week away. The setting is spectacular with beautiful views and easy access to walking in the mountains directly from the lodge.

We had a wonderful few days at Fellside! The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable, welcoming and well-equipped. We were a little unsure about being in a park setting as we have experienced noise issues elsewhere in the past, but Limefitt was perfect. It was really tranquil, and everyone was friendly but respectful of privacy and quiet. The deck with its beautiful view was perfect for outdoor meals. We also ate at the on-site pub, and the food was excellent. We would also recommend the lovely scenic circular walk up to Troutbeck, just over the road from the park. All in all, just what we needed.

We've been visiting Fellside for many years now. It's our 'go to' place, as it's so central to explore everything the lakes has to offer. The site is quiet and peaceful and the lodge itself has everything you need for your stay. The owners are lovely, providing excellent pre holiday communications and support. Always a welcome card and chocs, which feels so personal and thoughtful. We go back year after year, and come away with wonderful memories. Wonderful lodge, don't hesitate to book and be assured.

The lodge is clean, tidy, well organised, confortable and they thought of everything.We stayed at The Lodge Pinewood 29. We found even an xbox360, TV in every room, 2 bathroom and even board games to play. The location is amazing and peaceful, there is even a playground for kids and a little football pitch which my son loved it. We wish we could have stayed longer than 4 night.All my family love it. With 2 double rooms, one en suite and one other bathroom, this has been a very convenient lodge for our family these past 2 years. Just a few miles from Ambleside, this is a great base for a break in the southern lakes.

This was our second stay at Fellside lodge (we stayed at Christmas 2018) and it was great again. Lovely and clean, comfy and plenty of space for our family of four. Last time at Christmas we saw a deer and this time lots of rabbits! The play park was good too and the pub about 1 like walk away was handy for a night walk!

Very clean, comfortable lodge in peaceful park with elevated terrace. Breathtaking scenery from walks behind lodge. Very efficient communication with owner. Would highly recommend.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for the weekend.. And didn't want to come home! We arrived late in the day but the lodge was warm and very welcoming. A clean tidy space perfect for couples or small families. We were staying for my girlfriends birthday and I wanted some nice wine and chocs left out as a surprise for her when we arrived. The owner kindly sorted it and I scored some boyfriend points! I had a great nights sleep but the real treat was waking up to the views from the front deck. This became my morning coffee spot! This lodge is at a higher position that most so overlooks the lodges in front leaving a good veiw of the beautiful surroundings. Iv posted a couple of pics from the front deck. Also the rear/bedroom window just looks out on to woodland which is great for privacy. Your safe to walk around in the nip after using the en suite! The parks reception sells the basics, milk, bum tissue etc and theres also a pub on site the serves food but we didn't try it. 5 minutes drive from bowness/windermere or roughly 8 quid in a taxi if your going for a drink. Close enough to the action but in a much more peaceful location. We had a perfect stay and will definitely stay again. 5 stars!
