Our beautiful cottage, located in Ambleside, backs onto Stockghyll Fall, is a haven for all the family with walks straight from the front door. 3 tastefully decorated double bedrooms & bathrooms with power showers along with the fully equipped kitchen and separate dining room provides all home comforts! There are 2 lovely patio areas with garden furniture and privacy for sunbathing. The private driveway parks upto 3 small cars.. local information, amenities and emergency details are available..Basic essentials are provided by our housekeeper who is also the point of contact during your stay. Regarding 'wheelchair accessibility ' as agreed by the VISIT ENGLAND INSPECTOR ---there is only one step in the front entrance and one step in the kitchen leading to the dining room. We are not available to meet you as we live far away. The cottage is accessed via a key placed in a key safe. More information is provided nearer the time of your booking.However I am easily reached via phone/email and our friendly housekeeper is your point of contact should you have any immediate queries and help. For all local information, you are best advised to visit THE HUB, the local information centre. It is at the bottom of Peggy Hill less than 5 minute walk from the cottage.

There is a private driveway with space for 2-3 cars. Large cars can easily access the driveway as the gates have been removed recently. There are also three lovely patio areas with garden furniture and one has privacy for sunbathing if you are lucky enough with the weather! This property is suitable for disabled/wheelchair access and small children are or course very welcome! When booking this accommodation, you will have access to the entire cottage, and some friendly neighbours too! We provide online details of local information, amenities, activities and emergency contact details.
Getting around
Ambleside is in the heart of the lakes and getting around is really easy with several options available even if you do not have a car. Local taxis service is friendly and reasonably priced. To see the sights there's nothing better than the open top tourist buses! Ambleside cruises are a real treat and an experience not to be missed.
