Super cute cottage in a highly enviable village location - within easy reach of the Lake District and situated within the border of the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage has been beautifully presented throughout and has been designed to cater for all your needs - even down to the courtesy picnic hamper for those summer walks!

The cottage comprises of a very well-equipped, compact modern kitchen with hob, double oven, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster ... even a slow cooker! The living area is beautifully quirky with ample dining space at the lovely table under a large window, a cosy open fire, TV with DVD player and free-view Sky channels. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a double and a single bedroom - both having plenty of storage space for your clothes and possessions, even though they are cosy and compact! The modern bathroom ha...

This cosy cottage is an ideal self catering base. The small kitchen is well equipped (albeit the fridge/freezer is in the cupboard under the stairs off the lounge, a minor inconvenience). The lounge/dining area has a comfy sofa and easy chairs, plus a dining table and chairs. There is digital tv, with dvd, and a cd/radio player, plus good wifi,...

About the neighborhood
Orton village has a Post Office with a newsagents - where you can buy food, logs for the fire, newspapers, sweets etc.. Kennedy’s Chocolate factory is a definite must-see and only a few steps from the cottage door. As well as a large cafe, there are lots of lovely gift-ideas, sculptured chocolates and novelty items. The Farmers market is on the 2nd Saturday of every month and has a whole host of interesting foods, cheeses and wine. The smell of hot dogs and bacon baps wafts across to the cottage as the market is situated a few yards away! The George Hotel is the lovely, welcoming village pub - a popular stop over for people doing Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk – with a large range of ales, food, regular activities and pub quizzes etc.
