We would highly recommendation staying at this apartment. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The apartment is stunning, it has everything you could possibly need for the perfect break away. There are lots of leaflets provided for day trips out and books, magazines and DVD's. There is plenty of room to relax, it is like a home from home. The bathroom is gorgeous, very luxurious. Private parking is provided at the front of property, which is perfect. An outdoor seating area is located at the front of the property, and this was great for sitting out and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. Thank you so much to the lovely owners for our wonderful stay. We will be back! Alison & Andy xx

Friendly welcome in Keswick
We arrived at around 5.00 pm, and it is a really easy place to find, only one turn off the A66. There is parking which is easy to access. We were welcomed by Martin who is very friendly and helpful. He showed us round the apartment and thoroughly explained all the controls and features. The place was spotlessly clean and spacious. The double bed was very comfortabkle and we were very impressed with the wet room. The cooker was easy to use , there is a microwave, a fridge, and washing machine.
The walk into town takes about 10 minutes. Across the road there is a Spar shop which is well stocked and a filling station.
The town is charming with all sorts of interesting shops and features to enjoy. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Lake from the apartment.
It took us an hour to get to the Roman Fort at Vindalander which was stunning. Plenty of free parking and the museum, the site, together with the resaurant make it an intriguing place to visit for a day.
We went to Cockermouth and visited Wandsworth's birth place, which is very well done by the National Trust.. That is 20 minutes by car through some beautiful countryside

Xmas break Dec 2018
Had an excellent 5 days away in Keswick. Cottage was everything we expected - very clean and warm. All the fixtures and fitting were to a high standard. The owners Martin and Jana were very hospitable and even surprised us on Xmas morning with mince pies and sherry. The location was only a short amble to the town centre with shops etc. We would certainly book again and recommend to anyone who wishes to spend any time in this beautiful area.

Keswick is a favourite holiday destination in all seasons of the year and rightfully so. This lovely market town nestles at the foot of Skiddaw and on the shores of Derwentwater lake amidst some of the most beautiful Lakeland scenery.
Delightful walks can be enjoyed in the surrounding hills...Catbells is one of the most popular offering visitors a fine lake and mountain panorama from its summit. The highest tops of Skiddaw and Blencathra are there for the hardy walkers and the famous Sharp Edge on Blencathra is one of the finest ridge walks in the area. The Castlerigg Stone Circle, near Keswick is one of the most visually impressive prehistoric monuments in Britain and sits on the level top of a low hill with views across to Skiddaw, Blencathra and Lonscale Fell.
Keswick has live theatre at 'The Theatre by the Lake' and a good local cinema to keep you entertained. Friendly local pubs and places to eat offer a whole range of prices and cuisines and the town is served by well-stocked shops. The famous 'Pencil Museum' attracts visitors from all over the world as does the 'Cars of the Stars' exhibition where you can see all manner of famous vehicles...from James Bond's Aston Martin to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Lake cruises and rowing boats can be enjoyed on Derwentwater and you can use the boat service on the lake as a jumping off point for walks further down the Borrowdale Valley. Look out for the annual Jazz festival in Keswick, which is always well supported. There is also a popular and challenging climbing wall and various opportunities for cycle hire. With its lively weekly market selling produce and local crafts plus a wide choice of individual shop, including butchers, bakers and an excellent supermarket, you will find plenty of ideas for your self-catering meals and for gifts to take home to family and friends.
