Note: Property set on a working farm, children to be supervised and there may be some occasional noise experienced from farm machinery. Note: Property shares driveway access with the farm and small neighbouring static caravan site. The lawned garden is occasionally used by people staying on the small caravan site. Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination. Town: A historic Lakeland town with a fine reputation for shopping, Kendal is known as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th Century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town. With other attractions such as Kendal Museum, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park, this is a superb base for a relaxing break.More
