We loved our stay in Dipper Cottage, it is very well equipped and cozy. We took advantage of the Canadian canoe hire and spent lots of time on the lake which was great fun. To be able to take a short stroll to the lake and enjoy the peace and tranquility it offers was priceless. Our dog loved his stay...

Just back from a lovely 4 day stay in this converted water mill cottage. Really lovely location right next to the beck and 2 minutes walk from coniston water. Well equipped cottage with very good instructions for all the amenities. Would highly recommend.

About the neighborhood
Sunny Bank is situated on the quiet western shore of Coniston Water. Surrounded by fantastic scenery on all sides you don't need to go far to enjoy the beauty of the Lakes. Wonderful walks from the doorstep take you along the lake-shore or up onto Torver Common, with its pretty tarns and breathtaking lake and mountain views. Hire our canoe (or bring your own boat) and have fun exploring the lake including Swallows & Amazons 'Wild Cat' island.
Torver, a mile away, has two pubs, both serving excellent food. Coniston, 4 miles north, is a small but busy typical Lakeland village, with several shops and a variety of pubs and places to eat. Ulverston (6 miles south) has a great supermarket (Booths), cobbled streets and many interesting shops.
