The Hayloft is converted from part of a 17thC stone barn and has lofted ceilings and exposed stone walls. It is exceptionally clean and warm and bed linen is 100% cotton with duvets. The Hayloft has a king-size bed and a cot is available for babies up to 15kg in weight. A small sofa bed, located in the lounge, can sleep a third person. The Hayloft is equipped with all expected modern kitchen appliances.. Me and my two children stayed between March 15th to 17th, it has the perfect location situated in Cockermouth close to beautiful Keswick and scenic Buttermere. Julie and Nick were so friendly and very easy to get on with. Nick also gave my little one...More

It’s our second time at the Hayloft. Our second time staying there did not disappoint. Even with our 2 year old it’s idyllic. Lovely cosy place to stay. Highly recommend and hope to come back again.

It’s very cosy and spacious little cottage.... we thoroughly enjoyed our stay even with the little one with us we made our own for a few days..... I would strongly recommend vistig to get away from all the town life and have a relaxing brake...More

The ancient and historic town of Cockermouth is one of only 51 towns in Great Britain to be given this title, and is, therefore, recommended for preservation by the state as part of our national heritage. Set in attractive countryside on the fringe of the Lake District National Park glimpses of the surrounding mountains and countryside spill into view through the old winding side streets. How to get there
ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTH From Junction 40 on the M6 Motorway take the A66 to Keswick/Workington. After travelling for some 35/40 minutes you will come to a big roundabout on the outskirts of Cockermouth. You will see the Brewers Fayre off to the left of the roundabout and a Garage on the opposite side. Go straight across this roundabout and drive down the hill to another large roundabout and take second exit, the A595 to Carlisle. This road will take you across the River and up hill to another roundabout, go straight across (A595 to Carlisle).
