Clare Cottage was very comfortable and spacious. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine/drier. Heating worked well. We did not have much trouble with parking but perhaps were just lucky. It was a good base for exploring the Lakes District. I would have liked more time to just enjoy being at the Cottage! Would happily recommend to others. We had 4 adults staying in 3 bedrooms.

We were attending my nephew’s wedding and the cottage worked well for this event. Well appointed cottage, conveniently situated to access facilities in and around Ambleside. The cottage is more spacious than it appears, is spotlessly clean and very well equipped, with personal touches which give it a homely feel. Fast and reliable internet connection.Jacqui M was very helpful in answering queries. Only downside is the parking, particularly when unloading and loading on arrival and departure. The first come first served pass is ok, but space availability on street is rare. We bought 2 seven day parking passes (£35) to avoid parking tickets, the plus side to this was that it gave us access to other car parks around the Lakes. That been said, we had a wonderful week blessed by amazing weather and I would highly recommend Clare Cottage and would happily rebook.

We have stayed here a number of times. The cottage has all the facilities we need - perfect for two couples. Comfortable living spaces and spacious bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Parking with the permit is very limited though.

Clare Cottage is a lovely, spacious, well-equipped property that's furnished to a high standard. There are nice touches that visitors will appreciate such as a really decent kitchen, fast & reliable WiFi, underfloor heating, high quality showers and even the floorboards don't creek! It is definitely more spacious than it looks in photos, and the central location means all the shops and restaurants are accessible on foot.

We a family of four stayed here for three nights in May. We were attending my son’s wedding. This was a lovely cottage, perfect for our stay. One problem was parking, it was a bit of a nightmare to be honest. My mother in law is 90 and having to drop her off caused a few problems, blocking the road, because there was never a space available in the road. That aside it was a really lovely comfortable cottage.

What a lovely cottage. Very clean and very comfortable in a great location in Ambleside. I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to others.

Just returned from a fantastic week away in Ambleside. Clare Cottage is in a fantastic location, no need to use your car. We had no issues parking. The cottage is much bigger than it appears on the photos and is immaculate, very well equipped, each bedroom even has its own hairdryer. The cottage has extra precautions in place due to Covid which is very reassuring in the current climate. I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time we want a break in the lakes.

We stayed at Clare Cottage for 3 nights. It is very clean and looked after. Central location! My only gripe is parking. Its on a first come first served. It would be better if every cottage on the street was given a space outside to park. We did get a parking ticket as did a friend.

Really lovely cottage, very spacious. Beautifully clean and well presented. Great base for walking with the family and is in heart of Ambleside so close to some great pubs and restaurants.

Our friends and I love this cottage. We visit The Lakes every year in March and have stayed in a number of cottages over the last 20 years but this is definitely the best. Lovely living accommodation with everything you need. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms- great showers too. Very clean throughout and a thoughtful welcome gift on arrival.
