Our first impression was "Wow". It is right on Ambleside high street, raised up high, with views over the church and surrounding areas. The apartment is beautiful and bigger than expected. The living area was fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for more cooking equipment. We were disappointed that the log fire was out of use, as it was a feature we were really looking forward to using and the living room window also doesn't...

My boyfriend and I visit Ambleside every year and we decided to go for a self catering base instead of a hotel/B&B so we had more freedom and were not tied to breakfast times. This apartment has an excellent location, great kitchen and big bedroom. We were disappointed as we weren't able to use the open fire as advertised. And the Jacuzzi bath did not look very inviting which I was disappointed by. Communication with...

Just to clarify a couple of points; the "Windows" on the towels refer to the name of another property and not "window towels", the open fire is able to be used and is regularly used by guests, the pillow protectors are laundered but it has already been replaced.

If you're looking for cozy, well-maintained, well-located and just all round brilliant cottages in the Lakes, this is the place for you! We were so happy with the property. Highlights include: - Lovely kitchen with everything you'll need - Open fire which made for cozy evenings after slightly rainy walks! - Jacuzzi bath - need I say more? - Great location in the centre of Ambleside We would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone!
