I live in Manchester so I am unlikely to see you during your stay though I am always available on my mobile or email. I have a trusted housekeeper who lives nearby whom you can contact in case of emergencies. There is a key safe on the front door so you can check in any time after 3pm on your day of arrival.

About the neighborhood
Ambleside is central to the Lake District so most people are attracted by the proximity of the fells and lakes. But it has many other amenities not usually found in a rural location.

There is an excellent cinema, tennis courts, bowling green plus a large number of bars and restaurants ranging from budget to gourmet!

Boat trips across Lake Windermere can be taken from Waterhead Pier which is again a short stroll from the cottage.
