It has spectacular views over the fells and up into the hidden valleys of this secluded area in the Lake District. Famous local author and fell walker, A W Wainwright described the Ullswater lakeside walk which starts just at the base of Hallin Fell as “the most beautiful and rewarding in Lakeland.”

A gorgeous house with 4 bedrooms (3 large ensuing doubles, one smaller double with ensuing shower and twin room with adjacent bathroom) ,a huge kitchen with Aga and masses of everything one could want for staying and entertaining, crockery and glasses for 20 people , comfortable sitting room and stunning conservatory as well as outdoor seating and barbecues with charcoal...

This house couldn't have been any better ! Lovely setting with amazing views and wonderful walking straight from the door. Lovely cosy sitting area with wood fire for cold days and a beautiful sun room with views and easy access to a patio and garden for warmer days. Well equipped throughout with every little detail attended to and beautifully furnished....

I organised the celebration for my husband's 50th birthday. Family were coming from differente places and it was a fantastic place to meet. Continue on B5320, just before you reach Pooley Bridge bear left at the signpost for Howtown

Continue on this road past The Sharrow Bay Hotel on the right

Continue past The Howtown Hotel on the left

At this point the road starts to climb the fell, when you reach the summit

St Peter's Church, Martindale is on the left and just after you start to descend Hause Hall is situated on the right behind the gated drive
