Well Cottage is a bright and surprisingly spacious, single storey one bedroom property, with guaranteed parking outside. Being all on one level it's very flexible and suitable for a large variety of guests, whether singles, couples or small families. The triple aspect kitchen, living and dining area, all overlook the private courtyard and garden area to the front of this lovely cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped allowing guests to be able to stay as long as they like, and with a bed settee in the seating area it allows for up to 2 additional guests. And to make sure it's comfortable we provide a thick mattress topper, and a thick mattress protector for that extra comfort. The bedroom is directly off of the sitting room and is the former...Well Cottage is a bright and surprisingly spacious, single storey one bedroom property, with guaranteed parking outside. The kitchen is fully equipped allowing guests to be able to stay as long as they like, and with a bed settee in the seating area it allows for up to 2 additional guests. And to make sure it's comfortable we provide a thick mattress topper, and a thick mattress protector for that extra comfort. The bedroom is directly off of the sitting room and is the former pump room to the well house. It has lovely pale green panelling on 3 walls as well as 3 large mirrors, making it a cosy but a pleasantly bright and relaxing room. See the pictures and you will know what I mean! The bedroom doesn't have any windows but benefits from a positive venting system in the sitting room, which circulates fresh air throughout the whole property. And to make this easier, there is no door to the bedroom but thick curtains instead for privacy, allowing the bedroom to remain pleasantly fresh but warm. The ensuite off of the bedroom has just been totally refurbished and now has a lovely double walk in shower, new lighting and lovely new anti slip flooring, a toilet that looks more like a piece of art, and a very large mirror with surrounding subdued lighting making this a really nice en-sute. We now need to make ours as nice as this one! And finally the outside seating area is perfect for alfresco dining, or watching the wildlife whilst enjoying a nice drink. And at Christmas we even decorate the cottage for you before you arrive with Christmas decorations, some of them home made with lovely branches and leaves from the garden tied with ribbon and bows, so you can enjoy that lovely Christmassy feel. Well Cottage is centrally located on the Isle of Thanet which is surround by coast. This sunny south eastern part of the English coast, is known for its lovely sandy beaches and historic coastal villages. It's a perfect place for a relaxing sea side holiday. In addition to Well Cottage, we also have another one bedroom cottage called Annie's Cottage. Both cottages are able to sleep up to 4 adults, both having a bed settee in the sitting room. The Chapel is next to Annie's Cottage and is the largest of our three properties with 3 large bedrooms and a 40 foot sitting room. The Chapel is able to sleep up to 10 adults. Many guests hire all three properties for a celebration or a special holiday to remember. We look forward to welcoming you.More

Although we live next door we leave you to enjoy your stay, but we are there just incase you need to ask any questions, or run out of something which you need quickly, and if we have it you are more than welcome to it. We are happy to provide you with information about the local area, and give you suggestions as to what might be suitable for your group or family whether it is eating out, or a day out. There is a lot to do in the local area whatever age you are, and it is such a great location both summer and winter, we want you to get the most out of your stay with us, so please feel free to ask.

Great holiday apartment in a peaceful setting
A very well-presented and comfortable single storey apartment. Set in a beautiful area with easy access to many towns such as Ramsgate, Margate, Broadstairs etc. An area that played a vital part in WW2. We really enjoyed our stay here and our very helpful and hospitable host, Suzanne. We highly recommend this accommodation. Everything that we needed to make for a relaxing holiday week.

Delightful, well equipped properties with welcoming and charming hosts.
Our extended family and friends (40 of us in all over the course of a week)! were all pleasantly surprised at the beauty of The Chapel, Annie's Cottage and Wells cottage. All three cottages were more than well equpped, there was nothing we had to bring with us. Our host and her family were incredibly thoughtful, in helping us prepare before we arrived, and during our stay. They were kind, helpful and very knowledgable about the surrounding area and it's history. They even loaned us the use of their BBQ! The thing we loved the best about our stay was the fact that everyone could congregate in one property for socialising, but also had their own space to retreat to. The thing we liked the least is predictably; leaving. Our young daughter has asked many times in the last two months when we can go back again. It is almost certain that we will! Our sincere thanks go to our wonderful hosts for making our stay a happy one for us all to treasure.

I would recommend this holiday property to anyone. Suzanne & George were more than happy to ensure our stay was comfortable. The cottage is situated in a private enclosure witch adds to tranquillity of the property. Highly recommended and would stay again.

Great Place for solo travellers and small families
The Well Cottage is a wonderful little house with everything you need for your holidays, there is also a washing machine. It belongs to a very nice property, calm and with an interesting history. even for kids there is a place to play Basketball. Manston is based very nice in the countryside. The Well Cottage is very cosy and comfortable, even if you got 1 or 2 kids. A parking place is right in front, We stayed there with our young daughter, she loved it also very much. it was great to stay there. Thanks a lot.

Just wonderful !
We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Wells Cottage & The Chapel ( which is part of the same group of cottages) All I can say is WOW, "what a fantastic property" our large family were warmly welcomed by Suzanne and told to just relax and enjoy ourselves. Which we did, I cant thank you enough for making our family feel so welcome. The private garden and Xbox 360 was a great hit with the kids (and most of the grown ups too) in the very well and the well appointed Chapel. I would recommend a stay at wells cottage and/or the Chapel to everyone!

Just fantastic!!!
Just were we were looking for! Only 10-15 min walk from airport, ideal for walking/public transport and cyclist. Of course also for cars, but we don't have one :) Lots to see and lots to do in the area. Cottage very clean, very complete, very peaceful, just everything you need for a carefree stay. The hosts are very kind and do everything they can to make your stay as possible. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area: don't look further! Nice note; in the guestbook not one negative note and many people visited more than once. I will highly recommend this cottage, unless it's in a period that I also want to rent it again ;)

About the neighborhood
There are lots of free events during the year in Thanet, from Dickens Week in July and Folk Week in August both in Broadstairs, to international volley ball tournaments on the beach at Margate, just to mention a few. You can see exactly what's going on locally when you go to the Visit Thanet website. And for something quite spectacular you can even watch the Red Arrows do their air display at Margate from almost anywhere in Thanet, and if you don't see them you can certainly hear them! Why not come and see for yourself.
Getting around
We are located in a semi-rural area close to the coast, but on a country road, so a car is really useful. We also have a lot of private off street parking, so if you want to bring more than one car it shouldn't be a problem. From the listing you will be able to see the local train stations of which there are 3, however Ramsgate is the easiest to get to and slightly closer than the others which are located at Broadstairs and Margate. The bus route through the village only runs about once an hour, however you are able to park for free at Westwood Cross which is only 1 1/2 miles away, and the other side of Westwood Cross is the bus station which has 'the loop' and will take you all over Thanet.
