Recently renovated open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. Fully furnished with beautiful wooden floor and furnishings. Lounge/Diner with farmhouse table and four dining chairs.
Laura Ashley sofa-bed in lounge (converts to double bed). Please note with sofa-bed used as a bed, space is tight and guests need to pass the sofa bed in the open plan lounge to get to the bathroom in the night.
Beautiful kitchen with quality appliances to include gas hob, electric oven, slim line dishwasher.
Farmhouse table seating four, Smart HD TV. Netflix.
Full gas central heating, dedicated, fast, fibre broadband internet connection.
Beautiful downstairs spacious bathroom with quality furniture form Grohe and Roca - toilet, full size bath, shower over, sink and great mirrored lighting.
Upstairs
Two carpeted Double Bedrooms upstairs:
Bed 1 : One bedroom has a double bed (4' 6'') with a comfortable memory foam mattress. Dressing table with GHD straighteners and hairdryer.
Bed 2: Has two full size Laura Ashley Single Beds (3') with memory foam mattress. Wall mounted Air conditioning unit.
Each bedroom has view of the surrounding gardens and countryside. I offer plenty of pillows, duvet (feather or non allergenic), fresh, clean beautiful Egyptian cotton bed-linen and sumptuous towels.
Outside
Seating and 2 bistro tables, overlooking beautiful gardens (shared with me) and view of Canterbury Cathedral. Private parking through a large wooden gated driveway shared with my house next door.

Dogs:
Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior specific agreement to acceptance to the Doggy Lodging Rules. These are
1. No dog to be home alone at any time, unless in a crate
2. No 'doggy business' permitted anywhere on the premises or driveway.
3. Keep the dog off the sofa and beds at all times
4. Please bring his own basket or crate to sleep in
5. Doggy Lodgings fee applies dependent on breed/age etc...(typically £20-25). Prior to booking, please give details of your dog, confirm you will bring a dog bed or crate and confirm you will adhere to the rules.
Detached, spotlessly clean and cosy Cottage to yourselves, two double bedrooms, luxurious surroundings, a spacious bathroom, a place to prepare food, log on or simply relax.
I live in the bungalow next door and we share the large private gated driveway.

We stayed here for 4 days/nights so we could explore east Kent and also Canterbury and what a lovely place Little Lodge Cottage is. It was perfect. It is cosy and just what we were after and very contained. The beds were very comfortable. Everything you needed was there, Mikal was the perfect host, very friendly and always helpful. Canterbury is about a mile away. so it was walking distance for us. Regular bus service into Canterbury. Also we mustn't forget Charlie the dog, very friendly. We will stay there again. Highly recommend it.

We’re still here and we love it!
I would normally wait until leaving a place to give it a review, but I feel compelled to write one now for this absolute gem of a place! With my wife and our two infant children (5mth and 2yo) we are staying a week here at Little Lodge Cottage and we really hope we’ll be able to come back one day. As others have commented, Mikal the owner, has really thought of everything and is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and she’s just next door if you need anything. The proximity to the city centre is great and the cottage is a great base to explore not only Canterbury but the wider area too. There’s so many positives to write, and really no negatives that I could put here. Granted I’m a dog lover, but my highlight is seeing Charlie the black Labrador who is adorable!

Gorgeous cottage in an amazing location
The cottage is close to the centre (you could even walk in), a short drive to the coast on a sunny day and directly opposite the university for those visiting their children. It’s a wonderful little place and the owners have thought of everything - hairdryer, straighteners, lovely fluffy towels, shampoo and conditioner, moisturiser, deodorants, tea and coffee etc - so you don’t need to worry if you have forgotten anything. It has all the mod cons including a dishwasher, Netflix etc, it has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The cottage is immaculate and very homely, it’s just a wonderful little place to stay. The owners are so helpful and care so much that you’ve had a comfortable stay. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough, it’s just perfect. If you are wondering whether to book then stop hesitating and do it, I promise you won’t regret it!

Shirt stay in Canterbury
A fantastic cottage for a family of 4. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and really cosy. It’s a great location and the hosts are so lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Wow what a lodge!
We absolutely loved our stay here. The owners were amazing and so helpful from the moment we booked. It felt like a real home from home and we had such lovely family bonding time. We went for a beautiful walk around the nature reserve a 5 minute drive away and will no doubt book here again!

Brilliant stay at the little lodge cottage
We had a great stay at the cottage and will definitely be back! The cottage is beautiful and had everything we could have needed. It’s in a great location so close to the town with a fantastic view. Mikal is a wonderful host and extremely friendly.

Little lodge cottage
A beautiful cottage in a lovely location, the host was very accommodating and provided everything and more for a brilliant trip. Plus a friendly dog! Who could ask for more than that!?!

Great find
Beautiful little cottage for exploring both Canterbury and Whitstable. Was great for our 2 young kids and our family dog.
Mikal very friendly host.
Huge field in her back garden for the dog to run around in.
Cottage had everything you needed.
We would stay again.

Our stay in the little lodge cottage was wonderful. It is a very beautiful house, very nice decorated, conserved, cleanly and having all necessary things. Mikal, the landlord, was excellent with us, always helping and being very available. We liked very much and we indicate to everyone.

Leafy, countryside, surrounded on all sides by fields, six miles to the coastal town of Whitstable and the sea.
We are on the main road so there is some noise at times, though quiet outside rush hour and on the weekend. A picket fence (keeping in my black Labrador) divides the Cottage and driveway from my bungalow next door.

Little Lodge Cottage is located North/West of the City, 1 mile from the Roman Westgate Towers and its Wall surrounding the City and the ancient High Street.
Little Lodge Cottage next to University Road is a perfect location for those visiting the University of Kent.
Little Lodge Cottage is just a few meters from Chaucer College, Kent College and St Edmunds School.
From the port of Dover or the Eurotunnel terminal - 25 minutes by car, or short train journey. From Gatwick Airport - 60-80 minutes by car.
