We're open for bookings and have updated our policies to adhere to strict cleaning protocols. In addition we have blocked the days before and after your arrival to allow for thorough cleaning and sanitising. Your accommodation is self-contained. This year we are excited to introduce a biofuel fire which looks and acts like a log burner. Biofuel is a safe and clean way of heating and gives out a beautiful dry, warm and relaxing heat and is a lovely focal point of the room. A romantic 1-bedroom detached studio in a quiet and secluded location in the heart of The New Forest National Park suitable for walkers, horse-riders, photographers and dog-walkers. Most relaxing weekend ever!

We have just had a wonderful 2 night break at the Garden room. The room was perfect and as well as the amazing hamper had lots of little extras that we weren't expecting including a very well stocked tea and coffee pantry. The garden area was serene with two different seated areas where we spent a lot of our stay. All the farm animals gave this stay a great character especially Boris the peacock whom we watched for most of the weekend. The garden room is an absolute gem and we would definitely stay again, in addition the hosts were very quick to respond and great at recommending local places to find good grub.

Perfect place

A beautiful place to stay, very friendly and welcoming. Attention to detail throughout and perfect for our dogs as well. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful Stay

We have just returned from a Christmas stay at the Garden Room The accommodation generosity ,and warm welcome we received was second to none Sue and Maz could not have been kinder ,so many goodies on arrival ,and attention to detail We had Peacocks , outside our window ,in the morning ,horse in the paddock ,and a wonderful avian group ,racing across the Menage We are so looking forward to returning this year

We didn't want to leave - can we move in please?!

We recently stayed in this beautiful room for 2 nights whilst touring the New Forest on our motorbike. It really does live up to it's very well deserved reputation and high star rating. The attention to detail is astounding. As everyone else has already documented, every need is catered for (including an extremely generous food hamper on arrival!) Wine, chocolates, a cream tea....too much to list. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay here, and being animal lovers we really enjoyed all the geese and peacocks running about. We even got a visit from the owners black lab dog (who wandered in to say hello one afternoon). It really is the most perfect place to relax and enjoy the picture perfect surroundings. If only we could just transport this little slice of paradise with us everywhere we went !

Amazing New Forest accommodation!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at The Garden room. It's perfect for me and my hubby & our dog. Great location in the heart of the forest with plenty of walks on your doorstep. It's a lovely cosy room with kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave & loads of goodies to see you through your stay. You won't go hungry! The owners are so friendly and helpful and have lots of animals to say hello to. Would highly recommend.

Loved The Garden Room & New Forest

Great place to stay. Maz & Sue were excellent hosts. Lots of goodies in our room for breakfast and snacks including a bottle of prosecco. Great walks in the new forest with my wife and our dog. Lovely break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Will definately return.

Amazing weekend away

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! Sue and Maz are very warm and welcoming and provided a very generous hamper basket for our stay. The accommodation was very clean and cosy with a lovely outside area where you could enjoy the sun in the evenings until aboit 730pm.They also provided a bbq which we used on our second night. The accommodation is close by to a couple of pubs (unfortunately these weren't open when we came because of covid but I think they are now open). There were plenty of lovely walks you could do and cycling as it's situated in the middle of the new forest. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be visiting again! Highly recommend 😊

An oasis of calm

Sue and Maz have created the most idyllic hideaway in a beautiful location. Woken by the peacock and a gaggle of gossipy geese - look out the window and see the horses in their paddock and the curious Boris (seeing is believing!). Every detail is thought of inside and out - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Garden Room

Having just returned from the Garden Rom The accommodation was first class The area beautiful including the garden and the land with the horses geese guinea fowl rams deer and dogs.The hospitality was first class including the arrival and information of the area also the hamper and items in the fridge Max and Sue are wonderful hosts The National Forest is outstanding A place to be visited

Great place

We were met by Ben who showed us to the room and was very helpful, the room is very homely with a fantastically comfortable double bed, a nice big comfortable sofa, a fridge and microwave, the welcome hamper as other reviews have said has so much stuff including croissants, muffins, a loaf plenty of cereals, milk coke water orange juice a bottle of cava and cakes. En-suite with shower good wi fi. Sky tv a great little hideaway. Come outside turn left and your in the forest, turn right and a minute walk is the nearest pub the red shoot.the high corner inn is a 30 min walk away both are Wadsworth pubs so have same ales. But red shoot does offer its own 3 ales brewed on site. The garden room has its own enclosed garden and there are 12 geese next door which give you a lovely welcoming chorus. Guinea fowl. And pet sheep also on site with the horses. A great place to stay and we will return. Thank you Maz for all your help and thanks Ben for looking after us.
