Having stayed in 2020, we decided to go back to the Cotswolds for a break and decided to stay in the lodge again. It was just as we remembered it. The location is perfect for exploring the local tourist areas of Stow and Bourton on Water but there are also lots of incredible walks on the doorstep of the lodge which has amazing views. We are also spoilt with the view from the lodge, over the rolling hills, just fantastic. The lodge itself is well maintained and decorated with a lovely comfortable bed (perfect after those walks), a great kitchen, and a cozy seating area. There is also a table with bench seating for meals or if you need to work, as there is also great wifi. We will be back again!

Perfect Cottage in Quiet Location
This cottage is perfect for a couple from which to explore the beautiful Cotswolds. It had everything we needed and plenty of space to enjoy it. The bed was very comfortable with a king size bed. Our dog was able to use the field adjacent to the cottage. There are no amenities in the Brockhampton, apart from the local pub, The Craven Arms, where the food was excellent, as were the ales. However it's only a short drive into Cheltenham where larger shops can be found. There are also plenty of pubs in the surrounding villages to explore.

Great View
Booked this based on the great reviews. The lodge is next to the owners house in a beautiful location. The lodge itself is simple & clean with fantastic views from the living room. Kitchen is off the living room & there is a small shower/wc. The bedroom is small & cozy. This place would have scored higher but for two main disappointments. One the bed is very uncomfortable on the right side, as a result I found sleeping difficult and with the bedroom being so small you have to shuffle down the sides. The other negative was the wood burner, it looks lovely but we didn’t light it as you have to pay an extra £8 for a bag of logs! I found this quite ridiculous & very tight on the owner. I simply didn’t want the hassle of going to the house to pay. Apart from these it’s a lovely place. Although we probably wouldn’t return.

Perfect
I booked this for my girlfriends birthday a few months ago, after being put back a further couple of months because of covid we could not wait to get away. And we were not disappointed, it was absolutely perfect, a real home from home. "Coomb Cottage" was all we wished for and more. Our dog loved it and settled straight away, which we joked the whole time asking him if he's been here before. Also Brockhampton was a good base to go out exploring and visiting the surrounding towns. Local pub was cracking, good food and drink choices. We will definitely be back in the future. Claire, thankyou.

Brockhampton getaway
Lovely 3 night break here with our 2 dogs (added bonus the field they could roam freely in right next to the lodge).
The lodge is well equipped and comfortable, ideally situated to explore the Cotswolds, some great local walks and the village pub is just a ten minute walk away ....perfect 😊

Cosy cabin with beautiful views
This is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet rural spot with your dog. The cabin is cosy and beautifully located with all amenities and opening out onto a beautiful panoramic view of the fields. The local pub serves first class food and is very welcoming and dog friendly. Everything is very easily reached by car, Bourton on the Water and Stow being very close by. I would highly recommend a stay in this little paradise.

Perfect dog-friendly cosy lodge with wonderful views
We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, especially my dog who was very excited to be on his first holiday! We stayed for three nights in July following the prolonged lockdown so were happy for a change of scenery and what a change it was!! The lodge is set overlooking stunning fields with the field immediately in front of the cabin to be explored by my dog! The lodge was clean and beautifully furnished. We cooked in the cabin each night and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. The owners have thought of everything you might need with tea, coffee, sugar, some herbs and spices supplied. They even gave us a lovely cake that was well appreciated after our walks. The bed was so comfortable; it was as good, if not better than at home(!); with fantastic pillows, a fluffy duvet and lovely linen. We found the location great too as we were close for our walks in Slaughter, Bibury and Cleeve. It was a perfect stay and we shall be back!

Great, scenic place with all the amenities you could want.
Wonderful place, easy to find with convenient parking. The cottage had cozy feel to it, yet with a spacious open plan. Very modern kitchen and bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Sasha, a very friendly and beautiful German Shepard!
All in all had a great time and hope to visit again!

Brockhampton is a pretty Cotswold village that sits on the high Cotswolds, eight miles east of Cheltenham. The village sits in the natural valley formed by the dip slope of the Jurassic escarpment that rises sheer for 1000 feet out of the Severn Vale, the top of which overlooks the Regency spa town of Cheltenham and the Norman Abbey of Tewkesbury and with spectacular views across to the Forest of Dean and the Welsh marches in the west. A few miles to the north is the pretty mediaeval town of Winchcombe with numerous pubs, restaurants and shops and the attraction of Sudeley castle, the burial place of Katherine Parr, Henry VIII's last wife. The village lies a couple of miles off the A40 and still retains its Sixteenth Century Cotswold stone village pub, the winner of numerous awards for its traditional real ales, good food, dog-friendliness, log fires and the absence of anything that might be considered modern. The village is popular with walkers and ramblers, road bikers, mountain bikers and horse riders. People, sheep, horses, dogs and visitors all mingle happily at a pace of life several times slower than the 21st century norm.
As a base for exploring some of England's finest countryside or for simply sitting down and allowing time to slow down to a standstill, we think there is no better place.

How to get there
The village of Brockhampton can be reached from a number of different routes. An incredibly scenic route is from the small town of Winchcombe. When you reach the village go down the hill, past the red phone box and then go up the hill again past a row of cream coloured semi-detached houses which are set back from the road. The property is 100metres past these houses on the right. If you come from the direction of Stow-on-the-Wold go down the hill past a number of Cotswold stone cottages, when you come past the last cottage on the left the property is in the grounds of the next house which is a large Cotswold stone property set back from the road behind wooden gates. Please pull into the drive of the house. The postcode is GL54 5XJ.
