Lovely comfortable cottage
I cannot say a bad thing about this cottage. Everything was just as described. Lovely and clean with a fully equipped kitchen. Loved our stay and struggle to find availability when we wish to stay again.

Perfect cottage close to everything
Lovely cottage, a street behind the main street, shops close by and cafe's. Excellent place to unwind. Stayed there comfortably with a family of four adults and one toddler. The loft bedroom has lovely views of the town and hills. Good shower and bath options. The kitchen is fully equipped. The lounge is cosy and very comfortable. Sarah was always contactable and replied quickly. Would definitely stay again! Only negative is that the Loft bed was a bit hard and very noisy when turning, so we ended up sleeping in the two singles which were better.

Walking the Cotswold Way
Ideal location for 4 chaps walking the Cotswold Way. Everything was clean and tidy in the house with all the facilities you need. Town had plenty of restaurants/pubs so we could eat out every night on our one week stay in May.

Not what we hoped
Cottage was not the cleanest, socks, plastic and tissues found under beds and dust everywhere which affected my wife's asthma. Facilities a bit dated but all work, could do with some repairs, especially the patch on the ceiling above the bath which looks like it's about to cave in. Never managed to park in the designated parking space as someone else was always parked there. Told there was a yard for our dogs but luckily we didn't take them as there wasn't any fencing around it. No welcome manual with instructions on washing machine etc so spent ages trying to work it out.

Thank you for this review. Sadly the majority of this review is untrue TRIP ADVISOR readers. Its always easy for someone to moan after the event. As always if you had ANY issues at the time you could have called me and I would happily of shown you how to use them or pointed you in the direction of the manuals.(in the bookcase ) BUT You wouldn't have wanted to see me as you did take your dogs and did not pay for them. How do I know you took the dogs???? Our neighbours CCTV in the courtyard. You also left dog hair and one of your dogs toys!!!!!!!!! Why mention the dogs lack of outdoor secure space if you claimed you didn't bring them???? I have also checked and YOU WERE able to park 1 car in the courtyard as described in our advert. No where in our advert does it say we have an enclosed garden suitable for 2 German Shepherds which I explained clearly to you in a text message that I still have. Please read our other comments this one is unjustified. We never have anyone say our property is not clean.

Lovely cosy cottage in Winchcombe
We had a lovely stay at the cottage whilst visiting family nearby. It was a bonus having a car space and able to walk to all the amenities. The cottage is deceiving and having three floors and great views of the cotswold hills in the master bedroom was a great surprise. Sarah the host was very helpful and even delivered a forgotten item to our family up the road for us to collect. We will be staying here again.

Third time charm
Yes, this is the third year in a row that we have stayed at the “blacksmith cottage” And it does seem like welcome home again. Winchombe is very friendly, and the cottage is tucked away very closely in a quite corner, with excellent parking, a real plus. Will be back again! AE

A lovely place to stay
This cottage has everything you need for a break. Sleeps 6 but there were only 2 of us on this trip so we had more than enough room. All the facilities are provided - even the towels - which I couldn't find to begin with and interrupted Sarah on Saturday night to help me! I just hadn't looked properly! The cottage is very clean and comfortable. I loved the decor and style of the building. The location is perfect for walking, walking into town - quite literally five minutes at the most - and the cottage has a parking space which is always part of our criteria as it's such a pain finding spaces when you arrive in the Evening. The town has some lovely shops and nice places to eat. We would recommend Rosie's in the evening for Thai - really nice staff and great food. We also ate at the Lion.

conveniently situated comfortable cottage with private parking
Pretty much everything you need for a holiday stay. Winchcombe is a delightful Cotswold town with lots of historical interest, some good eating places and a fine centre for excellent walking. Having its own parking area is a bit of a luxury in Winchcombe and the cottage is well equipped and a good retreat after a day out and about. Sarah & Jim attend to any problems promptly. We enjoyed our stay.

We have just return from a lovely 3 night stay at Blacksmiths cottage Winchcombe and had a fantastic time . The cottage was as we were expecting. Cosy with enough room for 4 of us and everything clean and tidy .The area at the back of the cottage gave ample room and a nice space to sit in the lovely weather we had. Would recommend as it is very quiet and close to the main area in Winchombe
