Teagles Cottage is located in the heart of the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. The impressive market square, surrounded by Cotswold stone buildings and an array of specialist shops, cosy cafés and inns are on your doorstep.

Constructed from traditional honey-coloured Cotswold stone, dating back at least 150 years, the cottage originally started life as a barn. The owners have injected new life and incorporated contemporary features, including a log burner, in order to provide guests with a comfortable stay and a real home from home feel. About the neighborhood
Stow-on-the-Wold is a delightful market town (population circa. 2000) and along with Moreton in Marsh, perhaps the best known of the small Cotswolds towns.
Original 15th century cottage doorway with elm doorStow-on the-Wold is the highest of the Cotswold towns standing exposed on 800 feet high Stow Hill at a junction of seven major roads, including the Roman Fosse Way.

At the height of the Cotswold wool industry the town was famous for its huge annual fairs where as many as 20,000 sheep were sold at one time.

Stow enjoys excellent road links to the M4, M5 and M40. This means easy access to London, the Midlands and the South West.

Rail links to Stow

The nearest railway station to Stow is Moreton-in-Marsh, approximately five miles away. This station is on the Cotswold Line and runs from Hereford to London Paddington. You can get a direct train from Moreton and be in Oxford in around 40 minutes and London in less than two hours. An alternative station on the same line is Kingham, also around five miles from Stow.
