We stayed at Daisy Chain in Sept 2016, with 6 adults, 3 young children and 1 baby. The house was great for us all - the grandparents had their own peaceful room and bathroom to escape to upstairs! The kids had loads of toys to play with, which kept them v busy! And the fact that we didn't need to bring baby equipment was fab, with the provision of a cot, high chair, blackout blind, bath mats, changing mat. The kitchen is so well equipped with more you could ever need and even plastic for the little ones.
What struck me most about the house was the view! It's breathtaking. And every time of day and weather provides a different version of the view!
We enjoyed using the spa swimming pools, inside and out, and us women had a few minutes in the sauna! We had a good meal in the restaurant onsite - Ballyhoo. Service on our particular night was slow but I think this was out of the ordinary. The food was great and the kids could play in the adjacent playground while we waited with a glass of wine!
Taking out the canoe on the lake was a highlight; so peaceful and beautiful. And we did the miss mouse adventure trail with the kids - great way to tire them out, exploring and learning, although it's a bit further than we expected with 3 year old complainers!
We also biked a bit in the area, but ran out of time to try out the tennis unfortunately!
A really lovely weekend in a great (and spacious) house, on a well kept and friendly estate, and I suspect we'll be back!
