Great location, lovely cottage for 2 with eye for detail, shower in bath (not so comfortable for larger people), warm and cosy, good night sleep guaranteed. Mind the low doors and beams and steap stair. Pets welcome (supplement charge), wide views from rear garden. Even in cold and wet January a beautiful setting. Nice pubs with good food near by...

Excellent welcome and facilities, in a thatched cottage within easy reach of Cirencester and the Cotswolds; footpaths nearby with fascinating canal tunnel and Roman building remains in a local field. Would have appreciated better lighting in lounge for evening reading and some comfortable seating for watching T.V. in the bedroom.

Prices are fully inclusive of all charges for services, cleaning etc.

All bedding, linen, towels are basic toiletries are included. In the kitchen tea towels, salt & pepper, cleaning equipment, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar are supplied.

A welcome tray with tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, milk and a bottle of bubbly welcome you on arrival.

Wifi - is free and unlimited. The TV has free sat and a small supply of dvd's are provided. There is also an iplayer docking station and a digital radio.

About the neighborhood
Cirencester is a pretty and thriving Cotswold Market town with a long and rich history. There is much to see and it is an excellent place for interesting and good quality shops, cafes and restaurants.

The Church of St. John is renowned. The Abbey Grounds is a pleasant park behind featuring medieval remains.

Cirencester House is the seat of Earl Bathurst and the site of one of the finest landscape gardens in England, the adjacent 3000 acre Cirencester Park can accessed from Cecily Hill. The annual Cotswold Show takes place here early July.

The worlds tallest Yew Hedge planted in 1720, Roman amphitheatre, New Brewery Arts centre, Market and excellent shopping centre.

The Visitor Information Centre is located at Corinium Museum

All but the most determined will need their own car. Kemble station is about 2 miles away and taxis are available. There are however no facilities or shops in the village.

Airport: Heathrow: 74.6 mi
Railway: Kemble: 1.9 mi
Address 49, Tarlton, Glos GL7 6PA (no street name).

Tip: On satnavs just enter 'Tarlton' rather than the post code, which take you down the wrong road.

From London take the M4 to exit 15 (69 miles from Chiswick). Take the A419 north to Badbury dual carriageway exit and still following A419 around Cirencester taking you to the A433 for Tetbury. Follow this for about two miles until you pass under a narrow railway bridge and the adjacent Thames Head Pub. Turn right after 300 yards for Tarlton. On entering the village there is a small green with a red phone box. Follow the road to the left. Asphodel Cottage is the fourth house on the left.
