Right on the water in the inner marina, this apartment is very well appointed and pretty spacious. All the furniture and decor seemed very new - beds were very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. The only thing we would have liked more of is sun!...More

The apartment was lovely and warm when we arrived, very clean and in a good location. Extremely quiet. Local shops were useful and pleasant to look round the Marina.

About the neighborhood
The Brighton and Hove region Nestling just under the South Downs, Brighton is the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Sussex coastline and countryside. The South Downs have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and as a National Park provides a wealth of walking and cycling routes. Ditchling Beacon and Devil's Dyke are many peoples favourites; their dramatic scenery and views provide a good stating point for a hike or ride and the magnificent Seven Sisters chalk cliffs are only a short drive away or you may wish to travel by bus which is known as the 'cliff hanger'! There are several historic sites including castles, country houses, gardens and parks only a short hop from Brighton; public transport links are generally good and guest have confirmed that to enjoy many of the local attractions a car is not essential. Gardeners will enjoy Sheffield Park and Nymans, both owned by the National Trust Lewes, the county town of Sussex, lies just a few miles outside Brighton. Famous for its enthusiastic bonfire celebrations in November (all the more spectacular as it competes with other other East Sussex towns for the best parade) it is a town rich in tradition and history. Situated on the river Ouse, it has been the home of the Harvey's brewery since 1790. Traditional Sussex ale is still brewed there today and visitors can take a tour of the brewery and learn about the brewing process. Just outside Lewes is Charleston. This beautiful country house is now open to the public was once home to the Bloomsbury artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. Families can enjoy some super days out in the area. Drusilla's, widely regarded as the best small zoo in the country, is 30 miles away in Alfriston. The Bluebell Railway, a heritage steam railway running through the heart of the Sussex countryside is 15 miles away. Thomas the Tank engine and his friends regularly welcome visitors here. This is extremely popular so we would recommend advance enquiry.
