Bird Sisters Cottage
Whether you arrive by train (a leisurely five-minute walk from Brighton Station) or by car (there are two dedicated off-street parking spaces), you begin your stay by entering a gate into a completely private courtyard.
Sarah and Jane Bird inherited this two-storey cottage in 1888 from their father Abraham, who purchased it in 1870 from Alfred Martin, for whom it was built circa 1839. Sarah died in 1890 and Jane sold the property in 1895 to E.M.A. Dodds.
